“He spoke about working hard to make sure that the Republican Party had a “conservative platform” and a “conservative message” and that they “follow through with that conservative message after the election”.”
EXCELLENT!
Rick Santorum is still looking out for us, and will continue to do so.
Sounds like a good conference call. Glad to hear that he supports his followers and gives solid advice.
That said, I doubt any conservatives will find a position in an administration headed by Mitt.

That said, I doubt any conservatives will find a position in an administration headed by Mitt. The key is to deny Mitt Romney the nomination, as he in no way exemplifies our Conservative Republican values.
Heck no! A Romney Administration would be populated by the same professional political hacks (such as Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt) who have been backstabbing Conservatives non-stop ever since 2007.
Someone posted a list of Romney's current campaign advisors either this morning or yesterday, and almost every single one of them are Bush re-treads. Expect them to get the top jobs if Romney somehow manages to out-cheat Obama in November.
If he really wants to shake it up, he’d endorse Newt Gingrich.

Santorum understands that choosing the “lesser of evils” is choosing evil nonetheless.

Lovely.

Thanks for posting. I submitted some questions for him, but couldn’t listen to the call.
I’ve voted for the “lesser of evils” many times.
Far too many times, in fact; and inevitably I have regretted it on multiple occasions as that person’s term unfolded.
“He stated that one reason he had found the path becoming difficult was that he had solicited Newt & RP to coalesce, but that neither showed any interest - THAT was the contact he had with Newt.”
I’m a SOCON, so of course I like Rick. However, why would a SOCON want to coalesce with the Libertarian Ron Paul? Also, I find it hard to believe that Newt wasn’t interested in joining forces. What exactly does Rick mean by “coalesce?”
Perhaps you would have regretted it MORE if the GREATER of the evils won.
Yep. If he really wanted a conservative, he would endorse Newt. Romney is going to ignore him.
He stated that one reason he had found the path becoming difficult was that he had solicited Newt & RP to coalesce, but that neither showed any interest - THAT was the contact he had with Newt.
I don’t believe he will endorse Newt. Sounds like he is still mad at Newt for not quiting and endorsing him. Rather than endorse a conservative, he will say that Romney has pledged to govern as a conservative and will endorse Romney to get back at Newt.

He wanted Paul and Newt to drop out, direct their supporters to support him. I know that for sure, but what he offered them - maybe Newt VP - and Paul something with economic reform - not sure about that...
There was a reason he didn't go into detail, I guess... He could have more honestly said I asked the others to drop and join me in fighting Romney, but he didn't do that... and he makes Newt look the bad guy, which he often did throughout the campaign.
