"My views are progressive." - Mitt Romney MORE OF LIBERAL MITT'S RECORD:

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all."" -- President Ronald Reagan
I do believe it's third party time. The GOP has been serving us up RINO presidential nominees since 1988. And as much as I liked Reagan, he did not do us any favors by choosing RINO George Bush as his running mate in 1980. (The VP slot on the ticket matters!)
Sarah Palin/Allen West is my dream 3rd Party ticket - that I would crawl through broken glass for - but there are other combinations that can get the job done in 2012 and it's not too late. At this juncture in 1992, nobody knew who Ross Perot was but by June, he was leading both Bush and Clinton in most polls. If not for the Perot campaign imploding and some rather odd behavior on the part of Perot that has still not been explained, I think he could have pulled it out. As it was, he still ended up with 20% of the vote which tells you even back then how hungry the American people were for a legitimate third party candidate.
Whether or not a legitimate third party option arises, I am going to take your advice on the downticket races as our best shot to minimize or even neutralize the damage of Romney presidency or a second Obama term is to INCREASE GOP majority in the House and GAIN GOP majority in the Senate by electing as many Tea Party candidates as we can.
Newt wins.
Sarah wins.
Palin/West run as a third party.
Romney becomes a Conservative. ....Nah, there are some things even God can't do, like make a square a circle. (James MacDonald)
I’m starting to think that everyone who replies to one of these threads with this “Well then who are you going to vote for?” nonsense is just a soft Romneybot.
There was a time not too many months ago when you referred to Newt as something like "marginally preferable.....barely acceptable as a conservative"
Glad to see you've come round.
For the “list”.

Mind if I borrow this? I can add some color for Pos/Neg for easier reading..
(and then change to pic so it’s easy to spread the info to many outlets)
Who are you voting for? Socialist A or Socialist B?
If conservatives are the largest political ideology in the United States, why don’t we have any representation in our government?
A few other categories should be added:
Supports unilateral US nuclear disarmament: y-n-n
Supports totalitarian Marxist/socialist/Islamic states over US interests in ALL instances: y-n-n
Believes the US is responsible for world unrest: y-n-n
Believes that the US must be rendered incapable of militarily influencing world politics: y-n-n
Apologizes world-wide for US role in world affairs: y-n-n
Believes that rulings from UN/multinational organizations supersede US Constitutional authority: y-n-n
Believes that war is ‘illegal’ without UN approval;: y-n-n

Obama has already given us New START which reduced deployed warheads by 70% from 5600 to 1600.
Obama has stated intention to reduce another 80% prior to reelection.
Obama reneged on US missile defense pledges to Europe.
Obama has prevented Israeli intervention in Iranian nuclear development.
Obama thinks Soviets are his friends, US voters are his enemies.
ANYONE is still better than Obama. Even though other candidates may be remarkably poor.
And at this point, even Ron Paul starts looking good.
Newt!
bump
You know what.
I have been pretty much shunned from other forums for not supporting Romney. Not that I mind that much, of course.
America needs a Statesman, ideally Newt, and the GOP sends us a Snake Oil Salesman..Romney. Pitiful excuse.
We the People have yet to grasp that the Two Party system is NOT the Dems-GOP.....nor is it Liberals-Conservatives.
It Iis DC-Flyover Country. The Lords and Masters -the peons and peasants. The day that reality dawns is the end of Federalism. They keep trying to literally dilute that understanding in Flyover Country.
Great list, Jim.
EVERY primary voter should’ve had a copy of it to review BEFORE casting a vote.
Appreciate you compiling this.
I can put to use-—at least, I hope so. I have conservative friends who don’t want to hear the truth about Romney. I’m not telling them not to vote for him; they have to make that decision themselves. But I’d think folks would want to be informed about the person they vote for.
Haha! This is great!
There ya go. Seems a simple decision to me.
Go, Newt!
