Bachmann Steps Closer To Endorsing Romney Jamie Novogrod
Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday morning, Rep. Michele Bachmann said she is seriously looking into endorsing presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The remarks are the closest the former GOP presidential candidate and Minnesota congresswoman has come to making an endorsement since dropping out of the race on Jan. 4.
Citing the decision by Romneys chief rival former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum to suspend his campaign last Tuesday, Bachmann said there is a uniting and pulling together around our eventual nominee. I have said that I want my voice to be one of uniting our party, the independents, the main stream, the conservatives, evangelicals, the tea party movement, Bachmann continued, adding, Im waiting for our party to come together and help in that process.

Romney's said a lot of things. But he's the worst liar in the country. You haven't noticed that?
I don't know about out of his mind, but if he supports the most liberal governor in history for president, he's certainly abandoned all principle.
I guess folks like you would rather sit this election out
You're a bad guesser.
Prominent people in the Republican party will always support the nominee. You guys are expecting too much for any major player in the party to oppose Romney. You can’t go against the nominee without officially resigning as a member of the party. That’s a big step to ask someone to take when they are in a position to influence the party from the inside, hopefully for the good. The conservative activists are the ones who are in the position to be the “bad cops” here in enforcing conservatism within the party.
No, you misunderstand. I quit expecting anything of these people a long time ago.
"Conservative activists" have about as much power to enforce conservatism in the Republican Party as a lamb has to enforce vegetarianism in a pack of wolves.
This is a presidential election and we need to get rid of Obama. I’ll take Romney any day over Obama if that is the choice we have.
Well, some of us will do what we can to make sure there is a choice that isn't a socialist.
The Tea Party and 2010 decisively proved otherwise. We haven’t been able to match $100 million dollars from Wall Street in this primary but I wouldn’t count us out yet.
The best candidate (Rick Perry) received brutal treatment here.Yup.
As long as you’re depending on money and media, America will lose.
He’s far from perfect - better than obama? For sure. These are post-obama times. People see the clear and present danger the kenyan has become. I hardly think Romney wants his 19 grandchildren growing up in obama’s communist society. Obama has some evil plans for this country come term two...and the damage will be irreversible.
Concur; I'm voting for the only alternative that can defeat Obama, the Republican nominee.
"Majority of FR" - I've watched all the anti-Romney threads. Based upon the response to those threads, I think we are talking about 1000 vocal members, maybe 1,500 in a nation where >130M are going to vote. Let's be realistic, every one of the posters on FR that have bashed Romney could stay home and not effect the outcome in a single state.
The problem with practicing "all or nothing" politics is that the vast majority of the time you end up with nothing.
That said, we presently live in a free country, so everyone can do what they wish. I've chosen to vote against Obama. I am certain what kind of politician he is. As to the alternatives, we can only speculate about what kind of President they might be. The only thing for certain we know about the entire lot of them is that they would all lie to win. After all, they are politicians.
For Heaven’s sake, Dick Cheney endorsed him. If anyone knows the stakes, it’s him.
The only difference between romnuts and the bamster is skintone.
Hmm. I hadn't noticed. I don't judge people by skin color.
Its the only difference...
Concur; I'm with Cheney. ABO and backing the Republicans
