I haven’t voted for anybody yet, but it looks like if Newt’s 6% would have voted for Rick, he would have won WI. Now we have Rombama.

Which came first? If Santorum's people in FL would have voted for Newt, Newt would have won FL and Newt would have had real momentum.

Has Rick got a chance in WI or not?

Nope.

Clean sweep by Romney in all of today's primaries.

Provide the specific, clear evidence (I am not going on your word only, sorry), and then you will get the apology from me. Otherwise, bug off, anti-Santorum troll.

Romney’s speech “Pattonesque”? LMAO!! That was one of the WORST speeches I’ve ever heard! It was canned and phony. It’s so painfully obvious Romney has no deep feelings about this country nor any idea of what conservatism is. So he stands up there and phones in some piece of claptrap some kid wrote for him. He actually said that FDR and LBJ did great things! And what was that “We have a country where we want dreamers to dream.” LOL, what??

My husband said it was like watching a wooden, not very good actor playing the role of a candidate. God help us if Wooden Willard is the nominee.

From what some of the internals are saying is, almost 4% Were Democrats who voted for Santorum, since this is an open primary. There was an actual effort for them to prank this primary. They made calls on all the Democrat sites to disrupt us again.

I'm serious, is that you Karl? It took me a while to figure it out but you're right there for Romney at every turn. Yep, I'm pretty sure you're a dyed-in-the-wool Romnian.

You need to go back to the Romney sites......Romney is NOT our guy here....not even close pal!

LOL, Romney site's? What is that? Mitt doesn't generate enough enthusiasm to have any site dedicated to him. I've still not actually found a voter who is excited to vote for Mitt Romney. He is going to be the nominee though. This is what happens when conservatives don't put up a compelling alternative most of us can agree on. I wished it would have been Newt, but too many social conservatives wanted to get behind another dead end candidate like Pat Robertson and Mike Huckabee. Santorum simply isn't a serious alternative and never really had a chance. He only survived this long because no one paid any attention to him for the first several months.

Take it to the bank. Some of the biggest, virulent, almost obsessed anti-Santorum types here who disrupted and nay-said all the time, and depressed FREE REPUBLIC activity and organizing, WOULD TURN OUT TO BE SOME OF THE BIGGEST ROMNEY FLAG WAVERS HERE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. Only just now can they start to poke their heads above the soil and show their true selves.

Does not take a genius to figure out that, and where many of them were coming from from the very beginning. Particularly these new sign ups saying "HEY! GREAT SPEECH BY ROMNEY JUST NOW! I mean, gag me with a spoon for cryin out loud.

Yes, doomed.

I doubt Rick thanks YOU for your contribution to defeating him tonight, if indeed he doesnt win.

How does it feel, katiedidit1....to know you have such power to bring a good man down...

....words matter....and your words and those of your crowd were hurtful and cruel

“Go, Mitt, Go”, huh?

So you support an abortion-loving, homosexual-pandering liberal cult member. You should be proud of yourself. /s

I don't know what happens from here, but I know he has fought and is fighting the good fight.

He's still fighting and so should we. They're doing the same thing they've been doing since the primaries started, saying Romney's a done deal, move on now like good little sheeple.

I for one won't just give up because they say so. We can still stop Romney and should for the sake of the country.

I have always been a Republican.

After witnessing what they've done I will not longer be a Republican.

They don't speak for me.....listen to me....or care about me.

I'm through.

Well, at least you have the decent courage to be open about it and admit to your foolish RINO-supporting political thinking. I admire your straightforward honesty about supporting Bishop Romney. Hats off in an odd sort of way.

Its these people posing as only anti Santorum, or pro-Newt, but really are for Romney and have been since day one, but could not do so openly (dont ask, dont tell) because they knew the stated philosophy and moral underpinnings of Free Republic from the get-go with respect to MITT ROMNEY.

Santorum will lose PA by about at leas 5 and New York will go to Romney by over 55%. And looking at the theory that if Newt drops out, Santorum will run away with it just did not hold water.

After April and because there are so many WTA and closed primaries that will favor Romney, the momentum will be enough for the win. It is not looking like an open convention after all.

But we will still see more of Newt, he will be a big part of the convention, and I also believe he will be a part of the new administration after we beat Obama.

Thank God I live in NY, where my non-vote for Romney in November won’t cause any damage.

This last Saturday, Santorum supporters met to discuss his official headquarters opening in Nebraska. We had a great turn out. I was surprised how many young people showed up. They were so enthusiastic and said they are bringing friends for he opening (tomorrow) Rick is not giving up, but going all the way to the convention if necessary. I plan on working in the office as much as I can.

One other thought. FedsStealingOurCountryFromUs is annoying, but at least he has enough self-respect to admit he likes romney, unlike others, who I assume, are embarrassed to admit romney is their candidate. I would be embarrassed too if I supported romney.

You have a very selective memory if you can’t recall the reams of anti-Gingrich posts that filled this place, over and over, a lot of them filthy, almost all of them lies. Did that depress Free Republic? I have never encountered such virulence and stupidity... but all that is okay with Santorum supporters like you.
