He’s checking out cherry blossoms in Washington DC, siphoning off 16% of the vote in La and getting zero delegates, he appears on FoxNews and says some of the dumbest things and people still think he’s the smartest of the candidates. Not Obama, not Axelrod, not Romney, and not Santorum, and not more than 10%-15% of the voters are paying any attention to him. Adelson whose casino ventures is the subject of a federal investigation hates Santorum for his social views and he’s using Gingrich as foil to derail Santorum who is the only real threat if any to Romney.

Santorum and Romney are destroying each other. Their supporters are insistent - they will never vote for the other guy! As I said, they’re burning bridges necessary to create a run against Obama this fall, and the two sides will have to come together OR there will be a compromise candidate.
The only candidate who is taking the Republican war to the opposition is Gingrich. Obama knows who his real opponent is this fall, and it is neither Santorum nor Romney.
