Gingrich is against EVERYTHING this site stands for. God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty conservativism - Gingrich sell-out!

You probably should talk to Jim Robinson about that, he's endorsed Newt.

right now, Newt is running an anti-Romney ad, who do you think that helps? Get a little wisdom, why don’t you. You Santorum supporters are so antinewt you can’t even see what’s going on..

That’s all for now. I don’t spend my time in discussion with Santorum supporters, too blind, too stubborn, too sanctimnonious, too stupid. I hope you understand.

The gloves are coming off as Newt Gingrich is taking aim at Mitt Romney in a new ad.

Using a quote from Romney strategist Eric Fehrnstrom, the Gingrich team looks to show Romney is quick to change his views. The ad shows clips of Romney making statements contradicting each other. The ad can be found here and Gingrich has run an entire website based on the attack.

Give it up. Newt lost to the odious Paul in Il. We in Pa. DO know Rick, and he is as fine a man as you will ever meet in politics. We’d be fortunate to have him instead of the phony prospective GOP nominee Romney.

Primarily he turned to those who lobbied him as a senator, a swamp he helped create as the GOP senate leader of "the K street" project. That netted him around $600K of his million dollar unemployed income. He made another quarter million appearing on Fox News. He has five rental properties in PA worth $1.75m. They have also sold some stock.

The "story" is primarily told through his tax releases. He maintains his lobbying and consulting is strictly virtuous, only for things he really believed in.

I don't think a person's principles have a price tag, and Newt is exactly what this country needs to pull it back from the brink...

Who cares? You have better chance of struck by lightening than Gingrich does of winning the nomination. All you're doing is helping Romney by tearing down the only candidate that can beat him or can force a brokered convention. That might actually by your goal, though.

If you want to delude yourself Newt can win by win, go right ahead. But, if you're going to tear the ONLY realistic alternative to Romney, I'm going to be all over you like white on rice.

You never did answer my question - do you support Gay marriage?

That's her strategy to get Romney elected...she's out pretending to be a Gingrich supporter attacking Santorum, so she doesn't look like a Romney supporter on FreeRepublic.

No, I don't, but what if I did? Spare me your purity tests. Sanctimonium's not a saint. In fact, he's guilty of self-righteousness and abrogating the work of Jesus Christ with his belief in his own goodness... I'll stick with the sinners, thank you very much.

Who do you think you are to make that sort of determination? God Himself? If anyone is disgracing the name of Christ here, it is you with comments like this.

And, it is amusing to see people like you claiming Santorum, on one hand, is too extreme for taking principled positions that would destroy his chances against Obama and, on the other, claiming he is being self-righteous.

You're pathetic. You own candidate is finished and all you can do is tear down the only candidate that can beat Romney or force a brokered convention.

"I'll stick with the sinners"

If you weren't so overwhelmed by your so-called holiness, and the piety and self-righteousness of your candidate, you would understand WE ARE ALL SINNERS. I know you nor Rick need the Cross of Jesus Christ, being perfect and all, but the rest of us do. You are damn right, I'll stick with the sinners, the same place Jesus spent most of His time. Idiot. don't abrogate the work of the SAvior because you have fulfilled some whited walled measure of good behavior. Sinners being saved by grace is who we are in Christ. How's your heart?

I wrote these. Grace and Mercy 101... I doubt they will penetrate your hard heart. I will know I've tried. "On Santorum: No, I’ve never met him. I’ve read about him, some of the corruption he is associated with, I’ve watched him, I’ve listened when he was disrespectful to his mentor for political expediency’s sake. I study his voting record. I know a charity of his gathered millions of dollars, and only spent 32% of their funds on the poor, for whose benefit the charity was formed; and that the normative ethical ratio is for most charities to spend 82% of their funds on their targeted constituency - while most of Santorum’s donations went to give his political friends cushy “charity” jobs. Good Neighbor, I think it was called. I listened as this so-called “good” Christian man stood on a stage and said his character was the quality of character that Americans needed in the White House, unlike the character of others who had personal baggage in their past, without once mentioning the forgiving saving transforming power of Jesus Christ, who is the center of the faith Sanctimonium so piously professes to live by... and sets his principles upon...

If you are not a Christian, you can’t really appreciate what is so appalling and galling about the man, in light of true christians, who don’t abrogate the work of Christ with attempts at self righteousness attained by their outside of the cup persona and behaviors..

What you are doing, and why so many sincere Christians have great problems with Santorum, is he, as well as you, overlook how the transformative power an encounter with the True Christ impacts a man’s entire soul and being; he becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus, old things pass away, all things are made new.

Newt has confessed his sins, said he did things he is ashamed of, has sought to make reconciliation with the members of his family, and others he has hurt. He has blamed no one else but himself. He has come to a new and apparently cleansing faith in Christ Jesus and, most importantly, there is no evidence of any of the same behavioral sins in his life since this long journey of his repentance, rebirth, and renewal began.

And, yet, people cannot let the man leave his past behind. After 20 years - think of it - 20 years - there are still a majority of people in the press, politics - Santorum, and a lot of his supporters - who consider Newt the same man he was 20 years ago, and dare he try to take one step away from his past, to step into the new, as his faith promises him he can, they are there loudly, hypocritically, self-righteously to pull him right back. They won’t let him step away from his sinful past, though no apparent evidence of that sinful past exists any longer, or any evidence that he is the same man he was 20 years ago. He is being judged as the man he was - while that man no longer exists. He is, I repeat, a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Finally, Christians, who truly fully embrace and receive the saving work of Christ, who are transformed deeply, understand that Newt could have done all those things back then, even worse, and still today be a new creature in Christ Jesus - but no one, not Santorum, nor his minions, will allow for that, or accept that might ever be true. So, the final finally: it says more about the people who can’t let Newt be this new creature many believing Christians trust he is, if only because they are likewise sinners, great sinners, saved and transformed by the same power that Newt claims has saved and transformed him.

It is religious bigotry, hard hearts, and people like Santorum, who behaviorally have hit many of the right notes in their outward lives, though it is hard to believe that is extensively true - I am sure we will find out - whose self-righteousness - whose pride in their outward manifestations of sinlessness, and acceptable conduct, that causes believing Christians to distance themselves from him, to see him as a hypocrite, saved more by his self-perceived good works than the miraculous, healing work of a Perfect Savior, by his love and tender mercy, towards those who are fully unworthy.

Santorum is about none of that, he is about a gospel of works and self denial, of earned salvation. Newt is simply a sinner being saved by by the gift of grace, he could never earn or be worthy of... through no goodness of his own... the same as most of those Christians who can’t support Santorum’s apostasy."

Forgiveness2

There is nothing remotely Christian about the hatred you have in your heart toward Santorum. You don't know the man personally and have no way of knowing if most of your opinions about his motives are true.

Stop hiding behind Christianity and trying justify your mudslinging.

I have no hate for Santorum. I feel bad that his supporters believe him when he says, "Ive been called by God to this."

That's all for now. I don't waste my time engaging Santorum supporters in discussion, too stubborn, too sanctimonious, too stupid. I hope you understand.
