A Year in the Life of America's Bullying Crisis
Safe Schools ^ | 3/21/12 | A Film by Lee Hirsch

Posted on 03/21/2012 2:14:53 PM PDT by Mr. K

Over 13 million American kids will be bullied this year, making it the most common form of violence experienced by young people in the nation. The new documentary film BULLY, directed by Sundance and Emmy award-winning filmmaker Lee Hirsch, brings human scale to this startling statistic, offering an intimate, unflinching look at how bullying has touched five kids and their families.

OK What's up with all this "bullying" talk lately?

Now there is an ALREADY MADE film about "bullying" that talks about how awful it is and stuff.

My question is: WHAT GOVERNMENT "PROGRAM" ARE THEY GOING TO USE THIS TO ENACT?

You can see the teachers ("safe schools" web site- sounds so nice) and probably their unions are involved, and that can only mean trouble.

You can tell it is an organized effort, all the teachers are talking about it, all the libtard media, now movies... it can only be the prologue to 'something' that they are going to cram down our throats as the "answer to bullying in America" and expect us to say "thank you for saving us from bullies"

This smells like a huge propaganda effort! But to what end?

Dear Abby,

I’m constantly bullied by a limp d*ck, chicken-lipped little idiot who quota’d and bought his way into the senate and White House. He keeps wanting to take my money and spend it for things that don’t and never will work. However the monies somehow go to other limp d*cks who have also never done an honest thing in their miserable lives.

What to do?

An Infinitely More Educated Citizen NOT in the White House

I would not worry too much. I’m sure it will only involve white on (choose your color) bullying. /s

Your missing link is the homosexual agenda. All the anti-bullying crowd got spooled up when the homosexuals started getting bullied.

I was kind of wondering about that, too.

I read a story here a few days ago where the writer and several people he interviewed said that there was no bullying when he was a kid. None. Well, there sure as hell was bullying when I was a kid, and you had to learn to deal with it, or you ended up on the bottom of the pecking order.

Of course, there’s another factor in the inner cities: black and Hispanic kids who are practicing to be gang members. It can be pretty tough to be a white kid in a mostly black class. But that problem is usually ignored by the liberal establishment, and I’m sure that’s not what they’re talking about.

Not all bullying is violence, and not all violence is bullying.

Bullying? We’re spending our grandchildren’s earnings and we’re worrying about Bullying?

And, are we TRYING to destroy the character of our children? If they won’t stand up for themselves, how do we expect them to stand up for their families, their principles, their God and their Country?

What a big steaming pile.

The whole bullying thing has been taken up by the media because of gays and lez. I don't like the whole government intervention either, that is just stupid. However, I was bullied for the “traditional reasons” and I dislike the idea that being bullied for being GLBT is worse then reasons for being too fat, too skinny, shy, introverted, uninterested in sports or fashion, D&D, etc.

Bullying is nothing new.
The real reason it's making headlines now is an excuse to provide more taxpayer dollars to "programs" for brainwashing kids.
If it is in fact getting worse, I suspect the abolition of values could have something to do with it.

Dads used to help their kids deal with bullying. They would teach them how to deck the jerk. A bully laying on the ground with blood pouring from his nose usually solved the problem.

Welcome to the land of the new castrati.

You are absolutely correct. This focus on bullying is a Trojan Horse for the homosexual agenda.

I was bullied for being too skinny when I grew up- until I got to be 6’2 and kicked the next guys ass on the bus

no one touched me ever since - and yes, it taught me a valuable lesson (actually two of them)

that’s what I’m thinking

they are even labeling it now as “the bullying CRISIS”

How about a NATIONAL DEBT CRISIS

Similar to my experience. Problem now is, you deck the jerk and you’re suspended regardless of any previous provacation. In effect, today’s schools encourage bullying by preventing kids from solving the problem themselves.

Yep, and the next day you'd be friends. Can't do that any more. The school will call the police. The police will make arrests. You will spend a ton of cash on lawyers. If that sounds like the voice of experience, it is.

Bullying has happened since the dawn of civilization. Why are our children the only children in existance that *CAN’T* figure out how to get bullies to stop... and need the government to do it for them.

It’s kinda sad that our children are less capable than their parents. Of course, if they actually *ARE* just as capable, then they are capable of solving the bullying problem just like we did, *WITHOUT* the government’s ‘help’.

Really getting tired of this now.
People act like bullying just started in the past 2 years.
Bullying has been around forever.
When I was in school there was a simple solution, you stood up for yourself and either beat the bullies ass or took an ass whooping. In the end everyone moved on..

And for the next installment on bullying...stay tuned until HHS announces another unconstitutional mandate against Judeo-Christian citizens.

You are correct and to expand on your thoughts: getting or giving an asswhopping wasnt the ACTUAL solution. Actually, it was the fact that the target fought back - THAT was the answer. Bullies are looking for easy prey without consequences. Once the prey fights back (win or lose) the bullies usually sought a new, easy target!

There is a bullying problem. It's because school administrators emasculate our students, and forbid them to take care of the bullies.

There's a great solution to a bully. Right hand makes a fist. Connects with full force of arm, shoulder, and body, to face. Repeat several times over in succession. Go home.
