Obama's Education Dept. partners with Soros

The Department of Education has partnered with billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Institute to promote a global education initiative that seeks “a world where each and every person on Earth can access and contribute to the sum of all human knowledge.”

Education Secretary Arne Duncan kicked off a $25,000 “Why Open Education Matters” competition that will give a cash prize for the best short video explaining the benefits of what is known as Open Educational Resources, or O.E.R., for students, teachers and schools.

“a world where each and every person on Earth can access and contribute to the sum of all human knowledge”

Yeah right. With copyright laws how they are today, no one can contribute to the “sum of human knowledge.” At one time, you could have an idea, and after a few years, everyone else could put that idea to use and for their (and everyone’s) gain. Not so today.

But more pertinent, we need to rid the Department of Unionization, I mean (Un)education, yesterday.

I guess contributing to the sum of human knowledge requires omitting that George Soros is a convicted felon and Nazi collaborator.

That’s been in process for the last 4 decades (at least). If you have not heard of Edward Griffin/Yuri Bezmenov (the KGB agent who defected to the U.S.), I suggest maybe looking him up. He explained the process, and that it would start with the education system. He laid out the exact plan we see before us. I buy old History books whenever I find them. It’s very interesting (sad) to see how much “history” can change in a matter of years.

+1, and isnt he wanted in a umber of countries for currency manipulation? I believe I have heard it’s a fairly large number (10+), but could be mistaken.

This is big. If Obama wins a second term, there’s no telling what the history books will start saying.

Make sure you stay away from any of Dr. Rugg’s stuff-—he was a Communist.
Buy history published prior to 1900’s-—get writings of Cicero, or anything by CS Lewis.

His Abolition of Man-—is about how the English schools were destroying the education of children by their curricula (one world communist junk). JRR Tolkien and Lewis tried to get the Classical Education and Virtues put back into English schools, but, he (of course) wasn’t able to do it and now we have people in England who are conditioned and can not think rationally-—like in America. They love socialism—and voted Churchill out because of their love for an ideology they were brainwashed into—and now can not think rationally.

I worked for a conservative Think Tank in the early ‘80’s and got to know Yuri Bezmenov. He loved America and I can still see the tears in his eyes as he explained what they were doing to America.

I was talking to my dad today (nearly 70 right now), and he said that he never imagined that the U.S. would get the way that it’s become. He never could have pictured it, he said. He’s a fan of Stossel, and talked about a piece he recently saw where John Stossel went to another country (dad said he thought it was Taiwan), to open a business. He said that within 15 minutes he was able to start a business. Then he said he tried to start a lemonade stand here in the U.S., and that, after 2 weeks of applications, permits, etc., he was denied the opportunity/license/permits to open the business. I haven’t seen the piece, as I have no TV, but will look for the piece online.

In any event, that describes the state of events in our country. Everything is either criminalized, regulated, or taxed, out of existence, and by design. I’ve only seen a few videos of Mr. Bezmenov, but at the end of one, they asked why he was willing to share. He said something like “Because, I’m one of you, now. This is my home. I already defected to be here here, and I’m not defecting anywhere else.” He was so heartfelt, I could hardly believe he was once in the KGB.

I miss patriots and people that love freedom, we’re few and far between. It seems today, we have warring factions over who will rule over us the best, rather than best protect our freedoms (in this case, actually give them back). I’m by no means a libertarian, but I certainly want to err on the side of less government. So many just hope that the liberty they so joyfully exchange for the promise of security, is not misused and abused. Well, it is! And always will be. That’s what the Patriot Act, TSA groping, NDAA, EO’s, etc. Have gotten us to. They’re the camel’s nose in the tent.

That’s why I’m convinced that the total debt/currency collapse is not only inevitable, but also precisely what we need. I don’t want a civil war that some call for (it may happen anyway), because war never settles much of anything, sometimes, but not often. It depends upon the reason for the war. If it’s for freedom, it’s always worth it. If it’s for payback, not really. I don’t want to have to worry about my family when our home’s a war zone. But one way or another, the socialism always fails. As Madison (?) said, Democracies are “as short in their lives, as they are violent in their deaths.”

The politicians have been pillaging us for years, and we’ve been deficit spending on the backs of our creditors for years. There comes a time in life when every good man/woman/family’s life when he/she/they have to pull themselves up by their boot straps and get to work, praying that God will grant them an increase, and then being grateful they got another day. Well, we’re purposely being taught not to work, suffer, live, or try, just like like the Eloi and Morlocks (and inhibited when we try!). A debt collapse may be just what we need to wake up and say, “Enough is enough!” I’d much rather deal with that than any number of high tech gadgetry available today in any kind of civil war. No thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I have only read from the “Screwtape letters,” but have been desiring to read more of Lewis. I refuse to make the conversion to fake e-reader books, so book acquiring is slow. I’ll read just about any worthy thing put before me, but I’ll not pay for one of those e-readers so long as I have a choice, lol. I’m not a huge history fan (mom was), but I do like the subject. So I appreciate your input. I get so tired of reading the obvious propaganda that’s being published today. There’s a real war on to delete history, and I feel confident that that’ll be even easier once we no longer have real books!

I can’t argue against anything you say. Very good perspective.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Wow! Do you know whatever happened to Yuri? He seemed to just disappear from the radar.

In case you did not know, transcripts of some of Yuri's writings are available at Useless Dissident

" . . . They are contaminated; they are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind[s], even if you expose them to authentic information, even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still cannot change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. In other words, these people... the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible . . ."

Another good source about the corruption of education is found at Charlotte Iserbyt's website. You can download her book 'The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America' for free.

'All warfare is based primarily on the deception of an enemy. Fighting on a battlefield is the most primitive way of making war. There is no art higher than to destroy your enemy without a fight—by SUBVERTING anything of value in the enemy’s country.'

The Think Tank I was working for was in denver. We were doing what we could to help the Contras in Nicaragua. Yuri stayed in Denver for about three months and then moved on. He was in great demand.

Thanks for the links.

No, I don’t know what happened to Yuri. Like many Russians, he loved vodka and we had many “toasts” so I’m sure that eventually had an adverse affect on him.

I would like to submit an answer to US Ed. Sec. Arne Duncan’s “Why Open Education Matters” competition by asking and then answering the following Question:

” Did the parents of former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers help finance Barack Obama’s Harvard education?”

_________________

Suggested answer:

Probably not significantly. The more probable answer is that the Ayres counterculture family was paid to guide foreign student Obama through Academia.

Since there are no known network of childhood friends from Obama’s past, Obama was probably a member of a Marxist sleeper cell funded by wealthy men with a Marxist view of the World.

The lack of credible evidence that has NOT been forged requires a long-term, highly skilled and well-funded support group.

Who the key members of Obama’s probable support group and probable sleeper cell were and are is well known to the CIA and the FBI.

Will the “Citizen Journalists such as Breitbart Editor Joel Pollack be able to out-spy these two tax-funded spy entities?

BTW, forget about the LAM, (Liberal Agenda Media), as they are saving their notes to write their tell-all Obama books after Obama has SAFELY retired back home in Kenya.

BTW, BTW, to all the doubters of the above speculation: what does your gut tell you?
