After months of preparation, education, and activism by conservatives, all over Missouri, caucus day arrived, and in St. Charles County it came and went without awarding delegates.
The Francis Howell North High School bleachers were packed and there was a standing room only crowd after the caucus was called to order, an hour and a half late. Clearly crowds exceeded expectation as checking in the overflow crowd took much longer than expected. Most in the crowd waited longer to be checked into the caucus than the caucus lasted.
The beginning of the caucus started with the reading of the pre-approved rules, which included disallowing recording devices and cameras by attendees and media. Boisterous objections broke out after this announcement and things disintegrated from there.
One protester challenged Eugene Dokes, the St. Charles County Central Committee Chairman, and soon after that police reinforcements were called into the meeting.
Ron Paul and Mitt Romney supporters made up the majority of the crowd as was evidenced by their reactions when the caucus chairman was nominated by the St Charles County Republican Central Committee Chair. While a voice vote was taken to elect the caucus chair, the noise of the crowd clearly did not support the conclusion of the vote as another noisy protest broke out after Matt Ehlen was declared caucus chair.
Unable to bring the crowd under control, there was a motion to adjourn, a quick second followed with an even faster voice vote, and the meeting was ended. By this time, police were in place, inside and outside of the building as well as in the air, and attendees were told to leave or be arrested on grounds of trespass.

What part of MO is this? Is it one of the heavily LDS areas like Far West?
Suburban St. Louis.
kk gotcha. Sad this happened.
While Santorum won the beauty contest earlier in the year, it didn't give him a single delegate. However a caucus awarded him 4 delegates earlier this week.
The results of all cauci should be in later.
They were doing this by dominating every agenda and general intimidation which worked rather well with so many mild mannered grass roots people learning about politics and the system for the first time in their lives.
The Pauiistinians have moved far beyond being "flies in the ointment," to being militant beligerants toward both the Republican and Tea Parties!!!
Worse yet, they're frightening off regular citizens who for the first time in their life are trying to become activists to save this country from too many of it's own people who are just interested in becoming "community organizers" themselves, in the pattern of the one from Chicago who plays hardball.
ping
The Paulites at our caucus today were well-behaved, mannerly yet enthusiastic, nothing like I’ve read about. They did Ron proud!

A list of the private schools gives you a good indication of the predominant religions.

Bang on the link in #10, below for more of the same but not quite as riotus...
Well, there you go.
It’s a suburb of St. Louis. Apparently a lot of thug trash from St. Louis has spilled over and they now live in St. Charles County. No surprise that they don’t know how to conduct themselves in public; even in something as important as choosing the President of the United States.
Why is it when I read your tagline, I think of Rick Perry. LOL!!!
Yeah, I found another list after I posted that gave the religious breakdown. Mostly Catholic and Evangelical in the county.
I hadn’t thought about that.
When one of these so-called "inevitable" RINO's gets in, they can really roll right over conservatives with pet spending/squandering projects of the Demonicrats. Democrat Governors/Presidents can sometimes be stopped like Gray Davis was, but big talkin supposed conservatives are intimidating to the R's in the legislature and only the leftist win in the end!
Now, what was it about that tagline that made you think of Rick Perry? (grin)
Last weekend I was listening to Richard Land live on the radio during the KS caucus and some woman called in and she started off calmly enough but then when she had an opening yelled that Jesus was a ba*tard child and Mary was a wh*re.
A Ron Paul supporter of course. She started giving her position away when she kept calling the Israelis “those people” occupying Palestine.
People are losing their bearings; willing to go with Ron Paul is a complete lack of intellectual reasoning. The guy really is a kook and he is running interference for Romney.
