Agreed.

Puerto Rico is not a typical demographic by any stretch of the imagination, but their delegates count just as much as anyone else’s in this primary.

We appear to have Freepers “on the ground” as shown in this thread with lots of detail on that race and what makes Puerto Rico tick: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2852420/posts

I don't know who “cll” is but I strongly suggest that Santorum and Gingrich supporters contact him ASAP and find out what he can do to help defeat Romney.

We were prepared to go all out for Santorum after Newt's dissapointing performance yesterday, but Rick might have shot himself in the foot. He stated to a local newspaper that English must be the principal language of Puerto Rico if it became a state. While I agree that English is the language that binds our nation together and that every citizen must speak it fluently, the federal government has no business in forcing any language on anyone. As it stands both English and Spanish are the official languages of Puerto Rico. English is widely used in business and it is the goal of most parents that their children become bilingual. But Rick messed up trying to force something that is unnecessary. No other state has had a language requirement for admission into the union. Not even New Mexico which was predominantly Spanish speaking when joined. Mr. Santorum, you have a lot of splainin' to do during your interviews and presentations today.

Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.
