Afghan president Hamid Karzai has demanded an explanation from the US after an American soldier shot dead at least 16 civilians, including nine children, in a killing spree Karzai slammed as an "assassination" that "cannot be forgiven".
The victims, killed when the shooter entered their homes in two villages in southern Kandahar during the night, included at least three women, elderly men, and a child aged just two.
On Sunday the mother of the two-year-old also spoke out. Gul Bashra told the Associated Press: "They (Americans) killed a child, who was two-years-old. Was this child a Taliban (member)?
"Believe me, I have not seen a two-year-old Taliban (member) yet. There is no Taliban here. They (America) are always threatening us with dogs and helicopters during night raids."
Another man said 11 of his relatives, including his children, had been killed at his house.

Well, I’m glad those Afghans aren’t assassinating OUR soldiers AND CIVILIANS. I think there were 7 CIA folks assassinated.
All wars suck. That is why the “people” should declare them. The Congress is at fault. They need to stop this crap of half assed wars and declare them.
Our guys are starting to crack up. You can only put them in a place where burning a Koran justifies killing our soldiers for so long before they crack up. We need a president who stands up for our guys and tells the Muslim world, “No, we don’t apologize any more. Get your heads on straight or we’ll cut them off.”
Karzai, all of your tough talk against the U.S. isn’t going to save you from the Taliban.

I question the truth of this whole damned thing. If it’s true, then one (or more) of our people lost his mind. If untrue, it’s an effort to completely discredit the U S military, probably the latter.
It’s time to get the **** out! Let’s just chalk this up as another war the American people didn’t want the military to win.
And Europe too.
I don’t know the story here, a bit sketchy yet, but I do know that the POTUS assasinates American citizens with drones absent due process. And one of those was a 16 year old who had not been accused of anything.
You start with the premise that this war, to install a government at odds with the local culture, could be won.
I find that to be in err.
