Solid in Kansas, Santorum Seeks to Build Margin
By TRIP GABRIEL March 9, 2012
WICHITA, Kan. We chased all the candidates out of Kansas! Rick Santorum boomed as he took the podium one day before Saturdays caucuses in the state, which his two leading rivals are not seriously pursuing.
Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich have largely bypassed Kansas and its 40 delegates to the Republican convention, instead focusing on the bigger prizes of Alabama and Mississippi, whose primaries are on Tuesday. But that did not stop Mr. Santorum from laying into both rivals with biting words as he sought to motivate supporters to give him a big victory here to carry into the Deep South, which new polls on Friday showed to be fluid.
Skipping entirely the social issues with which he has become identified, Mr. Santorum declared himself the one candidate whose conservative record on health care and energy would present a sharp contrast with President Obama.
He accused Mr. Romney of falsifying his past support for a national health insurance mandate similar to the one in Massachusetts.
Theres only one thing worse than having bad policy, which he does have, and thats not telling the truth to the American public, Mr. Santorum said.
Mr. Romney has said he never supported a national requirement to buy health insurance.
Aiming at Mr. Gingrich, who has made lowering gas prices a particular focus of his campaign lately, Mr. Santorum accused him of hypocrisy for once embracing a cap-and-trade energy policy.
I dont sit on a couch with any other woman; I sit on a couch with my wife, Mr. Santorum said, a dig at Mr. Gingrich for making an anti-global-warming advertisement with Nancy Pelosi, the House minority leader, and for marrying three times.

IMO, Rick was not refering to Newt’s past personal life, but rather it was the NYT writer who wanted to get that dig in.

I am sure big pharma just loved his 'stand' on health care.
And then:
While ACGm (a lobbying firm,) paid Santorum $65,000 in 2010 as a consultant, ACG worked with clients on stimulus issues. For instance, the West Penn Allegheny Health System paid Santorums firm tens of thousands to help with Health issues in the Stimulus Bill.
Rick Santorum, 'Stealth Lobbyist'
Santorum also joined the board of Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS), a publicly traded health-care management firm that owns hospitals and healthcare facilities around the country. The company paid him nearly $400,000 in director fees and stock options before he stepped down from the board last year. The company has long served as a source of political support for Santorum, with company CEO Alan B. Miller serving as a major contributor to the senator and, now, presidential candidate.
*********************************************
And this isn't all. Stealth indeed.

KS is caught up in Presidential politics- we are excited that Sen Rick Santorum and his wife, Karen, are working KS hard for a big, KS win. Rick was in northeast KS today, Friday Rally for Rick at Jabara Airport at 5 pm, free & families welcome. Then, Cookies & Coffee with Karen Santorum 7:00 Friday at Santorum headquarters 155 N Market, Wichita, free & families welcome. Karen is an attorney and neonatal intensive care nurse, mother of 7 and will tell us her opinion of Obamacare. Free & Families welcome. (From VT's page!) Karen Santorum is ALSO the mother of Bella, a special needs child who was never supposed to make it out of the hospital. Bella is now 4. I showed Karen Santorum a picture of my SN GD, Kaitlyn, and she wrote, "I love you Kaitlyn! God Bless you! Mrs. Santorum" on the back of Kate's picture!

Get over yourself.
Politics costs MONEY!
Any candidate that you support will obtain similar financing.

I was a Newt guy until Newt punted, in Kansas.
I think your posts should be removed, it belongs on some hate-filled, Democrat, anti-Christian web site.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

I disagree, it is very much a lawyer way of doing things. He should at least have the spine to say it outright. He meant it both ways, but he needed an ‘out’. Chickenchit worm.
