Well, the idea that he said he was a Muslim is based on a brief section of a lo-fi recording - during which he also said that having done tours of duty in Muslim countries he "knew a little bit about Islam" ... a strange thing to say if one has already proclaimed oneself Muslim.

I don't think he's Muslim. But whether he is or not doesn't change the fact that he, a judge, thinks the First Amendment shouldn't be applied to offenses against Islam. (It's worth noting that Zombie Mohammed was marching alongside a Zombie Pope.)
