Martin, however, stands by his ruling, saying there wasn't enough evidence to find the defendant guilty. He told CBN News he believes one of his roles is to keep peace in the community.
"Just because you have First Amendment rights that allow you to say something doesn't necessarily mean that you should always say that thing you want to say," Martin said.
"What I was trying to do in as quick of a time as I could, (is) educate the victim to try help him understand a little bit about Islam," he explained.
Police Sgt. Brian Curtis, the arresting officer in the case, was not happy with the judge's ruling.
"I believe that I brought a case that showed proof beyond reasonable doubt, and the case was dismissed, and I was disappointed," Curtis said.

Well, the idea that he said he was a Muslim is based on a brief section of a lo-fi recording - during which he also said that having done tours of duty in Muslim countries he "knew a little bit about Islam" ... a strange thing to say if one has already proclaimed oneself Muslim.
I don't think he's Muslim. But whether he is or not doesn't change the fact that he, a judge, thinks the First Amendment shouldn't be applied to offenses against Islam. (It's worth noting that Zombie Mohammed was marching alongside a Zombie Pope.)
My wife is a big fan of country music, but there is one meme in it she really hates and she articulates the meme this way:

The defendants own admission in court is harassment.
I quoted the defendants statements and Emailed them to this judge Martin proving harassment. I doubt he cares.
The first sentence is a lie.
The second sentence shows this liberal judge to be confused as to his role as a judge...keep the peace...that's what to cops do, his role is to judge the facts in the case.
Not a Muslim. A Dhimmi.
He is a magistrate and as such faces re-election at some point. THAT will be very interesting!
