“Newt will win GA and TN”. He Heads to Alabama tomorrow.

Alaska - My analysis said it was possible if he visited and got Palin to at least introduce him.

I Pray your right. You got Press details or something.

Add me to your Newt Ping List.

I knew there was always something shady about the Reverend Santomonious. You can tell it on his face when he speaks. He is hiding something, and you may have just pointed out exactly what.

Are you aware that Rick Sanotrum was Pro-Choice until he entered Politics? His wife who had an abortion in 1996, shacked up with a doctor who performed abortions for 7 years.

They have been married since 1990. Now how many times since 1990 has Newt reinvented himself? How many affairs? How many policy changes including agreeing with DEMs on environment for political gain?

Santorum is not my idea of a perfect candidate. But between him, Romney, and Newt at least I know for certain where Santorum stands. No I take that back Romney I'm certain is a liberal. Newt is simply what the venue calls for.

Oh and that abortion? You left out a considerable portion. It was a result of surgery to try and correct a developmental defect the baby was having. Surgery has risk. Their baby had a defect and in the womb surgery {which you conviently left out before that} was done too try and correct the issue. POST SURGERY COMPLICATIONS IN HER AND CHILD LEAD TOO CRISIS CONDITIONS FOR EARLY DELIVERY and labor was then induced because of those complications.

IOW they tried to save the child and the surgery failed and endangered both child and mother. At 20 weeks the baby would not have made it too a deliverable term and she likely could have died as well. Induced labor in such cases has been medical protocol for many decades even before abortion was made legal.

As for his wife's life before they met? People make mistakes and change. Many women become pro-life after they become mothers. That said they have been married about 22 years.

Indeed no one is perfect. It looks like Santorum and his wife since they met have been reasonably normal. With Newt? More time is needed for me too draw any conclusions beyond what I base mine on now. If Newt can keep his both in his personal life and political life on track for another four years then yea I'd say Newt would be fine.

“Well some talk a good talk but do they walk the walk? As for how they have lived and managed their personal lives?”

I'm interested in the candidate who has the best chance to BEAT oboma, based on his skills and experience. Newt has been married more than once, and I'm glad to see that he and Callista have found each other and are apparently happy. They are a good pair, check her credentials, and that is what is important to me

Newt has the fire in his belly to win this fight...he is sharp, articulate, he speaks his mind, he's outlined his plans for this country after he wins and enters office, he has the experience and, as he's stated, he will clean house and remove the commuists/socialists that now occupy OUR White House and their policies. And most of all oboma knows Newt will go after him and challenge the faux “president” behind the teleprompter. I'm looking forward to seeing some flop sweat and hear some stuttering from obozo...

Go NEWT GO!

The tests his wife had that saved her life, are the same tests that Rick does not want insurance companies to cover. I’m sure Rick did not pay for that medical care out of pocket. The medical term for induced labor at six months is abortion, regardless of the circustances. I have no problem with the decision they made, just the hypocracy of his position of denying others coverage for the same care.

If you know the history behind Newt’s first two marriages, you understand better the struggles he had during those years. He was 18 when he married his 30 year old teacher. I would call her a sexual predator. His second wife was an opportunist who was actually under investigation by the FBI for illegal arms dealing when he divorced her. It would appear that he has found the woman he was meant to be with and they are very happy.

As for knowing what Rick stands for, I think Rick has demonstrated by his own words in the last debate, and by his voting record that where he stands is whatever is politically expedient at the time.

Newt tackles whatever the issues are of the day and finds solutions. When he made the “Contract With America”, he kept his word. He is and has always been a very strong Conservative. Rick is a big spender, big government social conservative and that is simply his record.

On substance, I will take Newt over any presidential candidate whose run since Ronald Reagan. I think our country would be blessed to have his God Given Tallents used in the Presidency.

He also has not held any office since he cut and run from the House. Then he pops up and says Vote for me for POTUS? He’s been all over the place politically on policy the past few years. If Newt wanted POTUS many like myself would have liked too seen him as a governor for a term first too see that he walks his talk.

Newt needs people who will be willing to work for him, and help elect him. We FReepers have done enough thinking and typing...it's time for us to get to work and start HELPING Newt WIN.

To the friends of the Tea Party and any other groups out there, making phone calls for Newt, and passing printed sticky notes, as outlined in a previous post, sounds like something we can do to help Newt. It's time to put up or shut up...we know what we need to do, so let's roll. Andrew Breitbart had the fire in HIS belly to go out there and fight for the truth and the Constitution.....let's see what We the People can do to save this country!

The one he was dating when S.O.H.? Hello!!!!! National Security Issue. Actually the affair was such. It made him a prime blackmail target. Many don't realize that fact. He had a responsibility too his office and too this nation not too go there. That responsibly he accepted when he took that position.

I would have taken Alan Keyes over any which has ran since Reagan.

We have no time to dwell on what we would have liked to have seen in the candidates...we need a strong, experienced candidate who has sharp teeth, a quick mind, can deliver the message, isn’t afraid of the left, who has outlined his plans for this country, and we need him now.

Turning this country right side up will take time...and I’m willing to back Newt as he makes these first steps possible.

See you at the polls.

Sorry I miss you point. Good luck, hope Rick does well. He is a good man. The only difference is that I believe Newt is a great man. Often great men have great flaws. None the less they raise above them to do great things. Maybe Rick can become a great man. I pray for him.

Newt is merely helping Willard have a better Super Tuesday than any Massachusetts liberal deserves. And EVERYONE with a brain knows it. Period.
I supported Newt back before the Florida primary, when that support counted. At that time there were a lot of people in FR who were posting all kinds of vicious lies about Newt, in an effort to boost their own candidate.

Now some of those people (no need to name names) are actively promoting Newt. Why?

Because they want to sabotage Santorum?

Look, I like Newt better than I like Santorum but what you say is absolutely true: "Newt is merely helping Willard".

I have no idea why Newt did so poorly in the 2 pre-Florida debates, debates which, in my opinion, cost him Florida.

But he did.

He blew it.

And he lost Florida. And without Florida, the Newt candidacy is a fantasy.

And now, suddenly, there are all kinds of people here in FR who were previously Newt-bashers are now actively promoting the fantasy.

Why?

I have no idea.

Name who these “strawmen” are that you base your entire post on. I haven’t seen anyone do what you describe.

Rick’s candidacy is imploding. He never had anything going for him other than endorsements by religious leaders and the other two guys attacking each other while they ignored him. He cannot compete or win on his own merits. His candidacy is dead in the water now and he would have the worst of all these guys against Obama.

If Newt needed to win FL, why didn’t Rick? Why didn’t Rick need Michigan or any large state at all?

Rick is the one who is handing states to Mitt by not dropping out after doing terribly everywhere except Iowa up through February. He gave people a false hope to find the “perfect” candidate after it was far too late in the process for us to risk wasting time vetting an untested candidate. He failed the test and is destroying Newt’s chance to beat Romney every day he stays in the race.

Back before the Florida primary — when it was crucial for conservatives to unite behind Newt Gingrich — many conservatives traded all kinds of vicious lies about Newt, many of which were posted here in FR.

Now that the Newt ship has sailed (without Florida, the Newt candidacy is a fantasy), conservatives are trying to start a vicious lie campaign against the last stop-Romney hope: Santorum.

Do I like Newt better than I like Santorum: absolutely.

Did I support Newt back before Florida when that support meant something: absolutely.

Are conservatives going to blow their last opportunity to unite behind a non-Romney candidate: it appears that way.

FR is a microcosm of the conservative movement and back in the days leading up to Florida FR was full of anti-Newt hatred and calumny. Now, when it’s absolutely too late, many FR posters have “discovered” Newt. Well, in the words of the Church Lady, isn’t that special?

They discovered Newt now, when his only effect can be to sabotage the last non-Romney.

Where were they back before Florida?

If you want to understand why conservatism is doomed, just go back over the history of FR posts throughout this campaign, starting around September.
