The GOP faction of the BOHICA Party rears its ugly head. Let’s face it, the GOP does not want Conservatives. The GOP is hell-bent on shoving yet another moderate down our throats, who will go down in flames again and we will have four more years of 0bambi.

I’ll tell you what... IF Romney becomes the GOP nominee and then IF he goes on to lose the general election to Obama, I firmly believe the Republican party will be FINISHED... TOAST... because enough conservatives will finally be fed up to the point where they will abandon the GOP in DROVES (I will be one of them). And then thousands upon thousands of us will proactively do EVERYTHING possible to work together to completely tear down and dismantle the Republican party and have it rebuilt from scratch as a new constitutional conservative party. I honestly think most of the Tea Party actually believed the GOP was going to be smart enough to co-opt the conservative movement in 2012 after we had just handed those undeserving bastards in the Republican establishment its biggest congressional victory in 70 years. But now we know better. Of course, another four years of that evil Marxist despot Obama in office would probably make it too late to save this country, let alone transform the GOP.

I was once a long time supporter of the Republican Party, but I truly am reaching the point where I now really loathe it.

The fighting among the Newt supporters and Sanotrum supporters has to stop now, now is the time to make the difficult decision, and the only thing that we can even relate and remotely agree on is that Romney is not the one for us to be the GOP nominee. “

So we are supposed to “take on for the team” to push a candidate we consider to be weaker than wet cardboard?

I dont seem to remember the desire of the Santorum people to be so helpful to Newt at any time.

We stand by a candidate that has been unjustly slandered by the GOP establishment. We are not doing it just to then vote for the guy that happily benefited, and participated, from that.

Santorum is my first choice, but I would gladly back Gingrich as the GOP nominee. At this point, I don’t really care which of them gets it, as long as we don’t get stuck with the GOP establishment’s moderate candidate. I just wish others here who are firmly in the Santorum or Gingrich camp would quit with the endless petty back-and-forth bickering and support whoever emerges as the conservative frontrunner. We need Obama defeated this November in the worst way!!

I saw Meet the Press this morning. Newt was really good. Loved the way he took it to the Ape Man who clearly wanted out of there.

When asked if the party would come together and support the candidate, whoever it turned out to be, Newt said absolutely.

He emphasized the importance of getting rid of Obama.

Very discouraging to read the first few posts here and find the malcontents and downer people panicking because one guy endorsed Mitt.

Then the usual, I’m not gonna vote fertilizer stuff.

We better vote.

If we care about the country.

A write in is a vote for Obama.

A third party is a vote for Obama.

A ‘I’ll stay at home’ is a vote for Obama.

Grow up, people.

I agree. I will vote for whoever wins no matter how much I might dislike him. Each one of the GOP final four is better than Obama.

You can rag on me until hell freezes over, but I’m not changing. And I couldn’t careless about who supports him.”

Thank you, Jim.

The items you cite about Newt Gingrich from his success at taking back the House of Representatives are the same things I like about him. Gingrich is not my preferred candidate, but there is a lot to like about him.

Those of us who support Santorum are making a serious mistake if we think we can stop Romney without the help of Gingrich's supporters, and there is no way either Santorum or Gingrich can win this fall without unified conservative support.

I strongly suspect that Gingrich and Santorum get along with each other much better than too many of their supporters.
