The woman at the well wasn’t demanding that Jesus or anyone hand her contraceptives for free cause she wants to go on boinking with no responsibility. He said to her, “Go, and sin no more.”, not “Here’s a free condom, knock yourself out.”.

Please don’t confuse and conflate the woman at the well of Sychar (John 4) with the woman caught in adultery (John 8).
The former received a word of judgement “the one you have is not your husband, you have spoken rightly” while the latter received a word of pardon AND admonition “neither do I condemn you—sin no more.”

Thank you. Proper and appropriate response. As a christian I too did not read or learn that Jesus said here is the money so you are comfortable having sex.

It's actually much worse than that. Imagine if the woman at the well went before the Sanhedrin and demanded that her sinful lifestyle be subsidized out of the Temple treasury.
That's what we're dealing with here.
When Our Lord returns, I suspect He won't view people like Sandra Fluke as "victims". Call me crazy...
I pray she repents and denounces her former self.

Truly one of the greatest responses ever posted on an FR thread. You nailed it.
Personally, I want this whole episode to get as loud and ugly as possible. It delineates between the wretched Obamunist masses and the good, decent Americans who still believe in morals, standards, and values.
Nobody is asking this woman not to be a slut. We’re simply saying that we should not be forced to pay for her profligacy. And the last time I checked, sex was not a medical procedure (which makes one wonder exactly how this woman performs).
To: ReneeLynn
He said to her, Go, and sin no more. This is really sad. Not just your response quoted above, but the large number of replies lauding your post. Sad, because Jesus did not tell the woman to go and sin no more. That quote is lifted from a different story concerning a different woman.

I think you nailed it.
Fluke was not a woman appearing at the messiah’s well when she went before congress to demand their approval of her sinful ways.
I see nowhere in any passages where Jesus condones believers to make payments for other’s sins.

Well said. Fluke threw herself into the public arena with her ridiculous claims. She deserves any criticism she gets and it won’t be as nasty as conservatives receive every day.

You have some churches that celebrate homosexuality now. Celebrate sins and pretend that all is okay.
What’s gay marriage about anyway? So God and society will no longer say two men together are living in sin?
