Looks like the GOP-E might get their candidate. This is very, very scary because Romney will most likely lose the general. I cannot believe that 40% of GOP voters are willing to support a liberal just because he has an R after his name.

The GOP Sheeple are back. Let’s just hope that the state polls below don’t change much. If people are going to vote for Mitt just because they want to vote for a winner; they deserve the hope and change they have coming to them.

Real Clear Politics Avg.
Georgia
Mar 6 (76)
Gingrich +9.0

Ohio
Mar 6 (66)
Santorum +8.3

Tennessee
Mar 6 (58)
Santorum +19.5

Oklahoma
Mar 6 (43)
Santorum +20.5

I don't think they are "supporting" anyone, I think they have just given up.

On a related note: it would appear that negative ads work with pubbies.

“I cannot believe that 40% of GOP voters are willing to support a liberal just because he has an R after his name.”

The GOP has been torqued to the towards the left ever since the inauguration of George Herbert Walker Bush. I knew we were sold as I listened to his first and final inauguartion address. After more than two decades of this trend, it is no longer true to say that the GOP is a conservative party. The Reagan Revolution was willfuly dismantled by small minded, big governmemnt, envious Rockefeller Republicans. The Democrats did not do it. Republicans did.

The Reagan Revolution is gone, but one like it can arise.

I can believe it very, very easily.

People who get all our political commentary on FR and like places have absolutely no idea how many registered Republicans there are out there who like a dignified, well spoken candidate who went to good schools, has executive-quality hair, and doesn't rock the boat too much (or at all).

These are the Rockefeller Republicans who wouldn't be caught dead voting for Joe the Plumber, and my wife's family is chock full of them.

Which is why I've been saying here all year, Freepers are free to loathe Romney all they want, as long as they don't underestimate him.
