Two United States advisers who were shot dead in Afghanistan's interior ministry by an Afghan colleague had been mocking anti-US protests over the burning of the Koran, a government source said.
The description of the shooting - which led to NATO pulling all its advisers out of Afghan government ministries - came amid renewed violence in a sixth day of anti-American demonstrations.
Germany also said it had withdrawn its national and international staff from Afghan ministries as a "precautionary measure".
Describing the sequence of events that led to the interior ministry shootings, the source said the US advisers were "scolding the protesters and calling them bad names" as they watched videos of protests in Kabul.
"They called the Koran a bad book in the presence of (an Afghan colleague). After all this the guy had verbal arguments with the advisers and was threatened by them. He gets angry and shoots them. Eight rounds were fired at them," the source added, requesting anonymity.
That should fix it, for today.

In America we had the Occupy Wall Street protests that went on for months, producing only a few rapes and storefront smashing-ins.
In Afghanistan, Islamic fanatics are now in the sixth day of their Occupy NATO Military Installations and Embassies protests and the dead bodies are already piling up. If the relatively passive OWS crowd could sustain their relatively peaceful movement for months, imagine how long and bloody the Afghan fanatics’ killing spree against NATO personnel will be. Bring our troops home now.

Zer0 would love a war to save his pResidency, but it would have to fit some criteria:
1) The US would have to take the side of the Muslim Brotherhood and fight as mercenaries for free. This makes war in Afghanistan and Iraq highly unlikely, we will retreat.
2) It will have to please the left and wacko left, so it must be in support of Muslims of the Muslim brotherhood type and against anti Muslim Brotherhood Muslims that have made working diplomatic agreements with the US and/or Israel. War against Israel would be acceptable.
3) It needs few identifiable boots on the ground, to be short, and to not generate a need for a draft.
