As a Catholic I've never been taught that Satan / Lucifer / The Deceiver is responsible for evils in the world. However, he is a very effective marketer.
It's like getting fat off of Old Milwaukee beer. Is the Swedish Bikini Team responsible for that? Or the drinker? The SBT might seduce you into drinking that swill, but ultimately YOU are responsible.

I agree this was a small part but tit bits like this is going to paint him as a nutcase and Santorum needs to get out before they paint him .
This is only the start of the Romney crew, Coulter, DRudge etc, they devastated Newt and now they are starting to see Santorum as a threat .
He needs to get over as much as he can on what he said and get out there right now and combat this and stop the MSM and Romney putting down another conservative.

GD it, I don’t care what Santorum said about Satan, I don’t care that Romney is a Mormon, I don’t care that Newt’s on his third marriage. I DO CARE THAT WE’VE GOT A GD MARXIST IN THE OVAL OFFICE DESTOYING THE COUNTRY!!! Everything else is secondary.
No one is fooled, we can think, read and google. Santorum has spent the past two weeks preaching. It seems like he is very interested in religion so why doesn’t he run for say, POTUS?

The phrase “axis of evil” implied there was satanic power involved in those countries. Of course Satan is real, and is out to destroy anything that is good. That should be a given!
Satan offers the evil and men accept the evil. It takes two to do that tango.
I don’t know why anyone would think this topic was off the mark, considering where he was and the group he was addressing.
I, too, am a Newt supporter and it’s all about Plans and the skills he possesses to put those Plans into Action.

Maybe, but it isn't working. The more Santorum talks, the more I like him.
What you have to wonder is this: how do the Romniacs think it helps them to attack a Christian for being a Christian?
This was not something said recently or as part of the campaign.
That being said, I admire Santorum’s recognizing the immorality that infiltrates our government and our society and having the courage to speak about it.
