I’m not to certain this writer knows what “democracy” is.
There is an Islamic Democracy but is a mostly in theory not in practice. Indonesia and Mali as the only Muslim-majority countries that are fully-fledged free electoral democracies
I don’t like the use of “democracy” as a synonym for “freedom”. It isn’t.
Democracy and tyranny are not mutually exclusive.
Democracy only ensures that the majority gets to be the tyrant.
Individual liberty stands by itself, independent of majority rule.
Islam and humanity are incompatible.
It’s not the translation. Even in the original Russian the writer sounds stupid, i.e., “deliberately ignorant.”
