CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Actor Sean Penn criticized Republican presidential candidates during a visit to Venezuela on Thursday, saying that right-wing policies in the United States aim to benefit the wealthy. Penn made the remarks after meeting with socialist President Hugo Chavez at Venezuela's presidential palace, when he was asked by a reporter about criticisms of Chavez by some Republican candidates.

Ironically Sean Penn is rich.
I wonder if he’s written a check to the US treasury yet to make up for the low taxes he pays.
He is, fur shur, one of the rich ones and I WANT HIS STUFF HUGO!
Which candidate is raising $35,800 per dinner plate??
Which party is charging a million bucks for access to a Cabinet secretary??
Are these poor people??
If Sean Penn thinks Chavez would give him the time of day if he had no fame or money he is coo-coo.
Dear Sean, you have the money to leave this horrible country and live in Venezuela.
Don’t go away mad...just go away.
Love Ya Much (not),
Berdie
So he earned some enemies in GB as well lately. Good!
Useful idiot celebs used to spoon with Uncle Joe Stalin and trash the USA. Nothing new here.
I guess Cindy Sheehan was busy this weekend and Chavez leans both ways.
Why must we do this?
Today Venezuela, one of the leading oil producers in the world is an economic disaster due to the policies of the Marxist Hugo Chavez. Most of the Engineers, Doctors and skilled have fled Venezuela. When I lived in Venezuela there was no shortage of food, electricity, etc. This is no longer true.
Hugo Chavez did win his first election. He did not win the second election as it was totally fraudulent. I think he took to heart the saying of Stalin, “It is not important who they vote for. What is important is who counts the votes.”
It must be great for Penn’s ego to hob nob with dictators so he can feel like he matters...especially when no one cares what he says.....
“B-b-but he’s such a GREAT actor.”
