That’s what I thought, but wanted to be sure. Thanks for your response. :)

Of course McCain is a big YEA, he sponsored NDAA. Very creepy when you consider the big picture and the fact he was the GOP candidate.

I’m just feeling more and more that we’ve been sold down the river, not just by Obama but by Clinton and even Bush

This administration is highly influenced by Clinton people. In the administration and by their progressive think tanks. Holder is a Clintonite. We have had the Bushes/Clintons running the show for many years.

Just another “kinetic change-of-command ceremony”.

...who assured us we had nothing to fear from an Øbama presidency.

Spying on Europe’s farms with satellites and drones

*sigh*

Did not know about this garbage with the Feds overriding the Governors.

The only way to really effect any change any more would be for Governors to unilaterally step in and call up militia. Any able-bodied man or woman with proper armament is to report to local churches for briefing on preparations for war against the Federal government.

It could happen. I don’t think there are any governors in power right now with the spine to do it, but when/if push comes to shove, that might be all that is left.

**** Follow the Money, who in D. C. gains?

From the Article:

According to some estimates, the commercial drone market in the United States could be worth hundreds of millions of dollars once the FAA clears their use.

Thanks, Travis McGee. - Neat graphics at # 27.

You will never see a drone. They can count the hairs on your dog in your livingroom from 2 miles up.

It can spy on multiple people from one unit.

We are owned.

Drone wars: The ACLU just recently warned that increasingly cheap and common drones threaten “routine aerial surveillance of American life.” The civil liberties group is mainly concerned about law enforcement agencies using the remote controlled sky robots, but blogging and software pioneer Dave Winer recently outlined how private industry could put drones to terrifying use:

What about the day when Google decides to upgrade their maps app to provide real-time views? That’s scary because they have the money to put up a lot of drones. And we know they’re interested in airplanes. They want the old blimp hangar at Moffett Field. Maybe that’s where they’ll put their drone factory.

But the really scary idea is when Facebook, flush with cash from their IPO, deploys a fleet of drones to all our houses!

you’re kidding right?

FAA/Feds own the airspace.

Oh, and before you wannabe AA gunners muse out loud about shootdowns, think for a moment about where it might come down and who might be killed when/if it does, and who might be liable...

There isn’t any information yet that drones will be armed.

Look, they are likely to be used to 'watch' all those bitter clingers, Constitution readers, and 'right winged domestic terrorist' types out in flyover country.

Any explosions can be written off as an 'accidental' event occuring in some 'militia' stockpile, which would only further the justification for using more drones...

If 200+ people observing what appeared to be a missile going up toward the doomed Flight 800 can be ignored, so can one or two witnesses/survivors...

Hack into a drone’s guidance system? There’s an app for that...

If we had it won, there wouldn’t be a Taliban to give it back to. Anyone familiar with history knows Afghanistan has been the ruination of every invading army that tried to conquer it. That, I lay at the determination and fighting spirit of the Afghans. And my point is that spirit can see us through in this situation, should it come to blows.

Don’t misunderstand me, I fully appreciate the danger here. My point is they are going to take a few years to justify this move, as well as figure out how to pay for it, which means we have time to prepare. Also, my guess is they won’t initially be armed. It will eventually come to that, but in the interim we have time to fight this proposal, even if that is just a delaying action.

No I was not kidding. That’s why I asked. I know the FAA controls the airspace. I wondered of the states had any say at all.
I assume the second part of your post refers to someone other than myself. :)

They make more taliban, especially when emboldened by BO.

Theres nothing majical or mystical about Afghanistan. Its a lot of remote, desolate, mountains full of extremely poor, corrupt and ignorant people. Show them strength and they will leave the taliban. Show weakness and they’ll go where they have to in order to survive.
