All that was missing at the National Prayer Breakfast, when he claimed that guidance for what he is doing to the Free World comes from above, were the Gregorian chants.

The Marxist misery he’s foisting on the Free World with his job-killing and spirit-killing policies don’t come from Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky, because, according to a freshly minted pious Obama, it is all for Him.

Some of the true believers at this morning’s prayer breakfast must have all but fallen off their chairs when they heard the new Sermon from the Mount from a politician who has admitted he gets his prayer reminders via his Blackberry.

What a shameless puke.

He evidently knows about as much about God as the Muslims he panders to.

If the millions of babies killed on his watch could somehow vote they'd go a long way in telling him what they think about his self-righteousness.

If all the babies murdered since Roe v Wade in '73 were a voting bloc, the "party of the little guy" would either have to totally revamp it's platform or go extinct.

The latter would indeed be a blessing for the nation and the world.

If remarks at the NPB spark intelligent discussions throughout church and other groups of individuals in the coming weeks, then his use of this podium to lay out what must be his campaign argument on behalf of coercive government power, then some good may come of it, after all, especially a strong rebuttal to such misuse of Jesus for political power purposes.

What he overlooks in such a broad pronouncement is:

1. Such coercive "taking" is implemented by imperfect persons in positions of power in government;

2. Individuals in the society, motivated by the teachings of Jesus, might do far more good with individual charity, if left free to do so;

3. When coercively taken from some and "redistributed" to others, the gratitude (if any) for such redistributed gifts is directed to government, not God, or to whichever tyrant chooses such a method as a vote-getting mechanism;

4. Free will of individuals is a central teaching in most Christian sects, which introduces a question about coerced "charity" if it travels under the banner of Christianity.

Just some questions which might bear discussion, since the President has introduced the topic.

He didn't mention Christianity. And, when he says he falls to his knees in prayer, I believe that is to Allah.

I don't think we will ever hear the name, “Jesus” come from his lips.
