Romney Courts Bachmann For Endorsement
The Boston Globe ^ | 2/1/2012 | Glen Johnson

TAMPA, Fla. - Mitt Romney is carrying a full head of steam after winning the Florida primary, but the Republican presidential contender isn’t headed first today for Nevada or Maine, the next two states to vote.

Instead, he is jetting off this morning to Minnesota for what is billed as a “grassroots rally.”

Why?

Michele Bachmann, it seems.

Do not beleive anything coming from Beck. He is pissed about the Fox snub and lack of acceptance by us all and is now simply a loose cannon with revenge on his mind.

Bachmann is sure to have campaign debt. As a former tax attorney, and mother to 23 children, she knows how to play her cards for the best payday.

Her silence since dropping out has been a tacit endorsement of Romney. Now she waits for the pay off.

I watched her say it.

Then Glenn Beck is an outright LIAR.

Naturally, a stalking horse for Romney will... endorse Romney.

She antagonized Governor Perry for Romney. So did Citizen Cain. I don’t trust his endorsement of Gingrich. Hen house.

I had a thought about his endorsement of Newt but had brushed it aside. I'll now give it form.

Was it actually a Judas kiss to help Romney by having the washed out "sexual harasser" endorse the twice divorcee to kill him with women in FL?

Is there polling on whether Cain helped or hurt Newt in FL?

Yep, I am with you. We supported her early on... can we get our money back if she goes with Mitt?

Okay, I am going to try and add some sanity here.

Everyone knows the media manipulates, right?

I got up this morning, turned on FOX and they kept teasing that Romney was heading to Minnesota to rally and probably get the support from Michele Bachmann. Then they would say that she will be up soon. Hang on folks! Martha McCallum was all excited.

So, I am sure that maybe Beck heard that too and figured FOX had the scoop, so he said it.

Then FOX finally put Bachmann on and Bachmann said she isn’t even in Minnesota, hasn’t talked to anyone from Romney’s campaign, and is not endorsing Romney but she is in DC doing her job and supports the Tea Party.

Martha looked shocked and tried everyway she could to try and coax Michele to endorse Romney.

It never happened.

So. that is how the media reports false stories that gain a life when there is no truth to any of it.

I wonder if it is too late to have a conservative run against her for the congressional seat shoudl she endorse him.

She is not endorsing him, and the chances are extreme that any opposition candidate who would challenge her seat in the GOP caucus, or primary if they could get enough petitions, would be challenging her for being "too extreme a conservative".

She has been fighting RINOs like Romney and Pawlenty the whole time since she ousted one the first time she ran for the legislature.

I am tired of how shallow these so-called conservatives are

So I hope you realize your mistake...to attack the only truly legitimate and solid conservative that was in the race. The most credible opponent to Obamacare/Romneycare, the credible opponent to the Debt Ceiling cave-in of Boehner/Cantor/Santorum. And the only candidate who has opposed the Congress abdicating its authority to the Executive branch in countless areas, including the debt, and spending, with the ridiculous "Baseline" authorizations for increase.

I am so tired of the establishment trolls who want to destroy the tea party conservatives...and cover up things like the Constitutional betrayal the RINOs typically represent. Bachmann has outed them over and over. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Wow. That's pretty deep. I wonder what Cain's endorsement reaped if anything. He can't bring black voters. He shouldn't be able to pile anyone on that train except gospel singers and comedians. I think Obama is going after the singing crowd. I'll bet Obama can sing gospel too. Cain's endorsement is an accident waiting to happen so you may be right.

“if this is true, Michele Bachmann is an outright FRAUD”

She was only there to get rid of Governor Perry. He was the one feared most by Romney. As Perry’s health improved, his message was absolute. We gave up the best partially due to the tag team of Bachman and Cain.

“And I will NEVER forgive him for his unwarranted attacks on Governor Perry.”

I agree.

Really? It looked like she was courted by him when Perry was still in the race. Maybe the headline should read, “He seals the deal.”

Northern Wright County here. ;-)

I don't think she's "damaged" at all. She is now what she has always been. A little gaff prone but a solid conservative none the less.

Although, if Pat with the MN GOP doesn't have anyone to run against the blithering crap nozzle Klobuchar, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

“So I hope you realize your mistake...to attack the only truly legitimate and solid conservative that was in the race.”

I was not attacking, my comments were completely based on “should she endorse him”.

Now, would you feel betrayed should she endorse Romney? Romney is no conservative. My point is simply that this primary season has shown the true colors of some, that prior to this season, would have had you believe they were conservative and not establishment types. I have had my share of let downs, this endorsement, which hasn’t happened that I am aware of, would have only been another sorry disapointment.

Glenn Beck is a fellow Mormon who has been shilling for Romney. I wouldn’t trust anything he says without some confirmation.
