I sometimes walk with my husband and dog when my husband is trying to flag down a cab to go to work. At least twice, a cabbie pulled up and drove off - because of the dog, I believe. One time the creepy driver was in full Muslim wear. Now when I catch a cab, I will not get in with a Muslim driver - dog or no dog.

This happens to me all the time here in NYC (I live on Madison).

More and more when my girlsfriend’s dog is with me (while I’m trying to get to work as she walks it like you described ) .

You just gave me a great idea. I’m going to start asking cabbies If they are Muslim then save them off if they nod, just like they do when they pull over and then see the dog near me.

After my husband's open heart surgery 4 years ago, he had a muslim home health nurse come to tend to his surgical wounds. By the time she stopped coming here she was petting the dogs. I doubt if she went out and adopted a dog but at least she touched one.
