No Room for Allen West- or You- in Romney’s GOP
Townhall ^ | January 29, 2012 | John Ransom

Get ready for the all new GOP, under the lead of Mitt Romney.

It’s a GOP where the Tea Party won’t be welcome, where the federal government will continue to bailout out banks and unions and everyone who’s anyone will continue to make money- except of course you and me.

We’ll just continue to get stuck with the 100 year mortgage payment, as the GOP continues to be the “tax collector for the welfare state,” in the WSJ’s apt phrase.

That’s the takeaway from Florida where Florida Representative Will Weatherford, a Romney proxy, helped redistrict Tea Party favorite Congressman and retired Col. Allen West into a much more liberal district than he previously represented.

I guess Tea Party ideas of limited government and fiscal responsibility aren't wanted in the GOP under Mitt.

When people start asking and demanding the ‘best for the country,’ instead of voting and staying in the ‘best party’ mentality...then and only then are we truly ready to save America from itself.

It is voting the party-line BS that has gotten us into this mess, into this soft tyranny, dominated by progressives and RINO’s.

Those RINOs got there through party-line voting and they will continue to ‘get there,’ until we figure out WE are the one’s putting into office those who WILL TRADE AWAY OUR FREEDOM.

The RINO is worse than voting for the democrat, the RINO is a sneak, liar, and horse-trader of Rights that are not his to barter to the devil with.

The Tea Party’s misconception is that the GOP holds the same desire and beliefs as themselves. What they, and the rest of us, are finding out is the small amount of difference there really is among the political elites or ruling class.
They hold power and they will not surrender it easily.

They love government, because that is how they acquire and dispense power. The difference in the parties is not how to control government, but in the means of distribution.

I don’t see real change happening with Mitt as the leader of the GOP. If fact there is an even chance now of Obama being reelected.

The country club Democrats don’t care if a Republican ever wins an election.

“When people start asking and demanding the ‘best for the country,’ instead of voting and staying in the ‘best party’ mentality...then and only then are we truly ready to save America from itself.

That’s why I support the candidate who has most of it right — Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who advocates an aggressive approach to the disastrous overspending in Washington. The media completely ignores him. That should tell you something. Most of you dismiss him out of hand without reading what the man has to say. In this you are in full agreement with the Alinskyites.

Mitt Romney's presidential eligibility is mentioned at a website. The "Bread and Butter" quotation from the rather long article at the Web Page is;

QUOTE Since George W. Romney [Mitt Romney's father] was born in Mexico, son of the head elder (Gaskell Romney), there for about 3 decades before his birth, said elder must have been a Mexican citizen, therefore, could not bestow American citizenship, let alone “natural born” to George W. Romney. Since George W. Romney was therefore NOT A natural born American citizen, he could not bestow natural born to his son Mitt Romney. It does not matter what state Mitt Romney was born in. UNQUOTE

If true, the GOP elite would rationalize Mitt Romney's presidential candidacy to justify Barack Obama's candidacy. The GOP elite and the democRAT elite are the two heads of the same snake. A snake that needs to be crushed. These are events that make one want to say, "hmmmm". United States Constitution not withstanding.

All the times it has been said on FR, to go through the primary process and whoever is left standing is who you vote for.

Well...I hope conservatives are realizing that this time, if Romney is the one left standing, that he really is no better than 0bama. What Romney faces in his first year in office...0bamacare coming online...he will accelerate just as 0bama would have. Romney won’t stall or stop the redistribution, but he will be the fall guy when it all crashes during his first term.

So if it is 0bama vs. Romney, I see no point but to start laying plans to pick-up the pieces. And by then we’ll desperately need an Allen West or Gingrich figure.

Interesting comment below the article:

------------

Major lies Romney tells about Newt:

1. Newt did not leave in "disgrace". He just left.

2. Newt did not get convicted of any ethics violations. Pelosi charged him, but zero guilty

3. Newt agreed to pay for the costs of the investigation before IRS ruled the course he taught didn't violate any rules. In other words, Pelosi owes Newt the money back.

Romney is a damnable liar and does not deserve to win the nomination.

Romney is a complete disgrace to the Republicans and will lose against Obama.

A vote for Romney in FL is the same as a vote for Obama.

RINOmeny is another Mike Bloomberg: Throw tons of money around to buy the office while posing like a Republican. Then when you are elected, stick it right up the arse of the public. Bloomberg even bought himself a 3rd term even though he was limited by law to two. Incredible isn’t it? And now he is making life absolute hell here in New York city, playing pure Despot. Do I even have to guess RINOmney will attempt that as well? “Hey FDR did more than 2 terms? Why not me! Throw the money around!” What gets me is Ann Coulter. I mean my god, what kind of money did that take? Drudge I can understand, he seems like a money whore, but Coulter? WTF? To go to conservative to lib in a heartbeat? To throw away her career? And I am keeping my tagline for a long time-————>

He is the only candidate who advocates an aggressive approach to the disastrous overspending in Washington.

Ron Paul is very well know for;

1.) Pre-Testing and being assured that a Spending Bill has enough votes to be passed in the House.

2.) Loading up that Spending Bill with an Amendment to give PORK, PORK, PORK for Ron Paul's district.

3.) Voting AGAINST the Spending Bill.

4.) Publicly taking credit for voting AGAINST the spending bill that Ron Paul had added all that PORK to in which Ron Paul knew would pass the House.

Now everyone knows how an "aggressive overspending opponent" like Ron Paul plays the game. Ron Paul is about as aggressive about overspending as ... democRATs.

got that right did you see FOX this morning?

Perfect example was shown this morning of the elitist telling us to shut up we’re too dumb to pick a candidate and we should just do what we’re told...

Romney will not rock the boat, the expensive drinks flow, they are invited to their elitist cocktail parties, Coulter etc get to the white house, they get their pork spending to keep us sheep quiet and they take those nice all paid vacations disguised as a business trip.

They then go to their cocktail parties meet others like them , meet people like the homosexual groups who then promise more money.

Social issues are ignored now, fiscal means nothing and the peasants in the base need to shut up as they think they know what we need.

Will of the people, LOL Yea what ever they shout at the end of their DC,/north east parties, o jolly good, more port please.Oh thank you FOX, you did great the masses have no clue due to their stupidity and taking Newt out like that with those lies and letting us put our talking heads really worked, well drink up

They can all piss off and I would write more strongly but d not want to give FR a bad name or get banned.
Saying I’m frustrated is very underestimating how I feel

Not quite sure exactly how you are feeling there mate. ;)

You should be used to it, having leaders imposed without any say.
Heck, I joined the conservative party and got active purely to have some sort of say in who leads. I was stone dumb when I was younger ....

Wife has more say in the Labour leader through her union vote than the rank and file do in the Conservative party.

But yes, the disdain of the elite for the ones they beg for votes from and dictate to is getting way out of hand.

It’s not that we dismiss him out of hand but that although his approach to spending and reigning in the government is on target his approach to foreign affairs is dangerous.

He’s to focused and we need someone with a little more understanding of how the rest of the world affects us and how we can properly ‘influence’ them.
