I called my rep on C-Span this morning, Steve Southerland (FL-2)
My question was, "Did President Obama violate the Constitution when he appointed Richard Cordray to head the CFPB without consent of the Senate?"
He said Obama crossed the line, yet it was okay because the Senate was in recess.
My line went dead.
So no, I was not allowed to tell him the Senate was not in recess and therefore any regulations from the CFPB were null and void.
I listen to Leftist moonbats get 2-3 minutes to beat up pubbies over social justice, the mean corporations, the one percent, . . .
But, if you expect to press a question that could make Zero look bad, forget it.
You are right.
‘Recess’ appointments are meant to fill a ‘vacancy’ of a ‘current’ office or department ween Congress is in recess.
They were never intended to be used to ‘create’ a ‘new’ assignment.
BO is totally wrong. And so is Southerland.
ween = when.
:(

Well now you know that you must phrase your questions in a way that gets all your points out at once, before they respond. He answered your question, and C-Span went on to the next question.
You stated your question incorrectly.
As Congress was NOT in recess when President Obama appointed ........... did he violate the Constitution?
