Firebrand Free Republic Founder Endorses Newt Gingrich With Epic Call to Action
Fox News ^ | January 19, 2012 | Fox News

I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

This thread is going to get interesting.

I think I’ll just park here and watch the entertainment.

There were secrets afoot in the deal that have never been adequately dealt with. When push came to shove and it was required of Hastert that he FIRE SOME OF THE GAY STAFFERS and TOSS OUT SOME OF THE GAY CONGRESS PEOPLE, he didn't!

Ken Mehlman was in charge at the RNC, and he was as gay as they come.

I've never quite figured out what they had on Hastert but maybe he wasn't just the "wrestling coach"~!

The 2006 election helped us clear the boards of some of those guys, but I do wonder what happened at the National Committee ~ they put Mehlman's protege in charge during the interregnum.

The party hierarchy still needs some pruning.

Wasn't Lindsey Graham one of the ones champing at the bit to oust Gingrich?

Republicans hadn't been in power for 40 years. They had NO idea what to do with it. I think it scared them to be "leaders". They'd rather be liked.

Jim, just heard that John Sununu has endorsed Mitt Romney. Sununu lied to Ronald Reagan about Souter’s conservative credentials.

Mitt Romney would appoint more David Souters to the U.S. Sumpreme Court; and our nation cannot survive that.

Beck supports the Mormon Cult. Stopped listening to his semi-Mormon sermons before the left FOX.

Pray for America

Yes, is there another kind of Progressive? A liar, that spouts the line of the left, but doesn’t believe it? Is that Newt? A Progressive, that believes that “the right man in the right position” can make it all better? THAT is Newt. The rule of man, versus the rule of law. THAT is Newt, that is also 0bama.

Excellent!

How can we formally organize FR in support of Newt? A clearing house of volunteer/campaign activities of sorts?

I guess my ears must have deceived me. Just like when Newt expressed his admiration for progressives like T.R., F.D.R. And refers to himself as being a-realpolitik-wilsonian.

Dede Scozzafava, need I say more?

Buckley’s rule — support the most conservative candidate who is electable. It ain’t Gingrich. It’s Romney.

Wrong on both definitions - conservative and electable. IMHO, Bill Buckley would be for Newt! Big Time.

More accurately it will be Hip, African-American Scholar President vs. Rich white man - born with silver spoon in his mouth who grew up and was part of a racist church that denied blacks salvation until 1978.

Romney will never win, Newt has a chance.

He is actually 78 I think, but his ideas are timeless. He actually believes in limited government. Can anyone say the same thing about Newt or Romney? If the TEA party faithful back either of those, the movement dies never to be resurrected.

re beck romney: M.O.R.M.O.N. He supported romney from day one, just had to wait for the opportunity when he could support Mitt and make it look like it was a matter of left-overs.

About those “ethic” probes: Here is a really good site to find out exactly what it was all about (and from a liberal source, no less)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/govt/leadership/ethics.htm

The $300,000 fine was actually not a fine, it was the cost of the probe. All charges were dropped but one. The one that wasn’t dropped was about a misuse of a tax-exempt organization. So what did the IRS say about it? They found that Newt and the organization did nothing improper, no charges brought.

“Yesterday, Beck “guaranteed” the world that Newt Gingrich would lose in the general election.”

Beck just said about who he would vote for, “Better the Devil you know, (Obama) than the Devil you don’t know”(Gingrich).
