I'm officially endorsing Newt Gingrich for president today. Was going to wait until after Florida, but see no reason to delay. We need Newt to win in South Carolina and Florida to stop any possible momentum building up for the establishment big government, statist, abortionist RINO!!

RomneyCare = ObamaCare = government tyranny!! Taxpayer funded abortion is as evil as evil can be!!

Newt is a pro-life Reagan Revolution conservative who led the Republican Revolution of the 90’s, taking the majority away from the democrats who had held it for 40 years. And as Speaker, cut the taxes, cut the government, cut the spending, cut the deficit, cut regulations, cut unemployment, brought the federal budget under control for four years running. And unlike Romney, actually blocked a socialist healthcare system from becoming law. And created a pro-growth, pro-free market, pro-jobs environment and extended the Reagan economy throughout the 90’s!! Newt is the ideal candidate to lead the Tea Party Revolution!!

Newt plans to go to a 15% personal flat tax after deductions and a 12.5% corporate tax and eliminate the capital gains taxes altogether. He wants to privatize social security and medicare and eliminate the payroll tax.

And he wants to neuter the EPA and the Fed. Repeal ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley. Fire all of the czars, dismantle the Marxist state and fire if not jail Bernanke. And send 185 federal socialist welfare programs back to the states and the people, and return education back to local control.

Newt will directly challenge the liberal activist judiciary and end the unconstitutional power grabs of our usurping black robed rulers.

He wants to restore the constitutional balance of powers between the three branches and restore states rights and individual rights. He wants to turn government control back to the states and local people as the founders set it up.

These are the kind of dramatic reductions in government that the tea party is demanding.

And he has the knowledge, experience, know how, fire in the belly, and the balls to get it done!!

In short, I believe he's exactly what we grassroots conservative tea party rebels are looking for. I think we can use some of Newt’s conservative revolutionary talents right now!!

As long as the conservatives remain split, the establishment RINO Romney will waltz in just like McLame in 2008 and he will lose to Obama just like McLame. It's time to build the Gingrich Coalition!!

FR is hereby officially in full open rebellion against the elite GOP establishment and the Marxist commiecrats!!

Go, tea party!! Go, Newt!!

We are the resistance!!

Damn the torpedoes, damn the RINOs, damn the exes!! Full speed ahead!!

Free Republic is and will remain a pro-life, pro-family, limited government, strong defense, grassroots conservative site!!

RINOs need not apply!!

Happy Newt Day!! Only 366 days until President Newt evicts Obama!!

After a couple of posts to me that I found, it’s definitely crazy season.

They are coming out of the woodwork.

I have been a Newt supporter for some time.

Good luck, Jim.

Like I said on another thread, it was like a chicken bone going down the throat sideways... but now that it’s down, I’m starting to like the idea more.

He certainly kicked butt in the debate today. Two more standing ovations? That’s how many more than all the others combined for the last 30 years or so?

It is far past high time that the media got called on their double standards. He did everyone a favor by throwing it right back in their teeth.

I`ve donated to Bachmann, Cain and Santorum...

And I still like Rick most of the four who remain...

But, DAMN, I like Newt`s ability to flay an opponent when necessary. It`s a refreshing sight to see a GOPer who will fight like a pit bull!!

I`d be OK with Rick pulling out and throwing his support to Newt. He`d be a good VP choice for Newt, IMO.

Not to mention flaying the press!

I believe old Newt would truly eradicate the stain in a debate!

If old newt should happen - almost against impossible odds - to become President newt....I predict he's going to have a very rocky year with press relations! Who would he hire as his press "secretary"??? Jesse Ventura??

And can you imagine a private meeting between president newt and that casper milktoast sen dingy harry reid??

I urge all who now support NEWT to Oficially endorse Newt Gingrich on Facebook; that way WE can gain him more support ahead of Saturday’s primary in SC.

Yep same here. While I have problems withe Newt I can live with them if he’ll be a committed leader. I think he will as he see’s the need for someone to take the charge.

Newt’s ego is such he. Doesn’t back down from a major challenge and right now in our history we need big ideas and solutions without dismissing them for political reasons.

So Newt’s the one? All right let’s get this done......

Hello, thank you and sorry for the delayed reply, but with real life, and the debate, well my FReeping timetable occasionally suffers : /

Anyway, thanks for the clarification on your candidate. The thought of sifting through the posts of a FReeper from Year One was daunting, to say the least : o

I do understand, and agree about your frustrations concerning the hurry up offense, but I also see that, (like it or not), the opposition IS setting the pace in the minds of the average American voter, and in order to have any
hope of changing the outcome, we are going to have to come out
STRONGLY in favor of someone and do it quickly.

At some point, (and our options were diminishing by the day!!), we had to push back against their next target tactics and have them understand that we KNOW the foibles, and have chosen the candidate, (of those left to us!), who most of us believe is best equiped to seebthis through.

Please don’t compare Cain to Newt...Cain had ZERO political experience and while an affiable enough human being, was completely out of his league and element and him as the nominee would have gone down as a disaster that would have made Goldwater’s look good.

Newt is a seasoned and proven politician, not a perfect person by any means, but of the class of 2012, he is beyond head and shoulders above any of them. He won’t allow the press to define him, he has the intellect, and ability to recognize and counter the press’s attack, (see last nights debate) he has the intellect and oratory skills to articulate the conservative ideology, etc etc etc.

I will be honest, when he first said he was going to run, I really didn’t think his campaign would amount to much... however honestly I hadn’t taken a good look at the republican field of 2012 at that point either.. When I did, I realized, he was the best offering of the lot, and by a wide margin.

I am looking forward to seeing him take on Obama, the bloodbath that will be the most untalented and inept individual to hold the white house in my lifetime (and yes, that includes Carter), trying to win a debate, on policy, political ideology, or anything else against Newt is going to be laughable. Every gotcha moment Newt effectively counters, just highlights further the softballing that the press has given the current occupant of 1600 PA Ave. And sooner or later, the press will smell the blood in the water, realize its a lost cause and turn on the teleprompter and do the job they should have done 4 years ago, and evicerate someone who should never have made it to the primaries let alone become president.

Press is leftist, but they also will eat their own. They built him up in 2008, and with Newt as the Republican nominee, they will eventually recognize the blood in the water, and tear this man-child down.

Newt was not my first choice, and I have a lot of reservations and mis-givings about things he has done and choices he made in the past — but this election is about the future of this country.

It pains me to put morals on the back burner, and it pains me to support a man who has done some of things Newt has done.

But, the bottom line is we need a president who will not be afraid to go toe to toe with the press, the opposition and our enemies. We need a President who is willing to fight for this country and to fight to bring it back to the Constitutional Republic it once was — and as flawed as he is Newt Gingrich is the man to do that.

In a perfect world I would have a fine upstanding family man that holds all the values I do close to his heart, but this world is not perfect and right now we need a fighter no matter how personally flawed — and NEWT GINGRICH is the right man at the right time to lead the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD back to its rightful place.

Grrrr. This iPad is still intent on teaching me who is boss : /

Anyway, While I do indeed have my reservations about Newt, I have no doubt that he can hold his own against 0 and his minions, and I pray that he will become the great statesman that he aspires to be.

As for Santorum, his social conservatism is solid, but I question his ability to go toe to toe with 0 and his StateRunMedia, and worse, I am troubled by his avowed belief that Americans never were true go it alone individualists.

Time will tell.

May God bless and guide our course.
