I know he has some votes that I would rather he not have voted for. However, you have to remember we had a Republican Congress and President. Had he said no to some of these votes, he would have been criticized on Free Republic by some for not being supportive of President Bush. I know for a fact that is true. Some Republicans who went against President Bush were demonized on here.

It’s not so much Santorum’s voting record that concerns me—what’s alarming to me is his expressed philosophy on the role of government, etc.
I don’t like it. I don’t want government playing culture warrior on my behalf as Santorum seems to idealize. I want government to LEAVE ME ALONE.
