Strauss-Kahn wife to run French Huffington Post

Anne Sinclair, former anchor of France’s most popular TV show and the wife of shamed former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has been chosen to run the French version of American news website Huffington Post.

The French-language edition of news and opinion website The Huffington Post will be run by Anne Sinclair, who is married to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former International Monetary Fund director and Socialist politician. Strauss-Kahn stood down from his post last year following sex crime allegations. He was also shamed out of running for the Socialist slot in the 2012 French presidential primary election. New York-born Sinclair, an esteemed and popular journalist in France, anchored the country’s most-watched television show until 1997, when her husband became finance minister and her objectivity was placed under scrutiny.

The news on Wednesday sparked speculation in France that Sinclair’s husband would once again overshadow her career. The relationship between Strauss-Kahn and Sinclair remains under the spotlight in the French press, where feminists have spoken out against the 61-year-old journalist for protecting her disgraced husband, accused of attempting to rape a New York hotel worker in May last year. He was also accused of sexually abusing a young French journalist in 2002.

Sinclair spoke out against her critics in an interview with Elle Magazine on Wednesday. “Nobody knows what happens in a private relationship, and I deny anyone the right to judge mine. I am comfortable with my decisions, my actions, I made them independently,” she said.

In November, the couple filed lawsuits against several French newspapers concerning another sex scandal – a suspected prostitution ring in Lille – which Strauss-Kahn was alleged to have been involved in.

I wonder if DSK will get his own blog.

Anne Sinclair is a hardcore leftist, and the new French version of Huffington Post is a joint venture with le Monde, the French newspaper that is the mouthpiece of the Socialist Party.

Just how will they translate all the swearing, cursing and filthy trashtalk into French?

Rich people always get paid.
She is filthy filthy rich, but also she will do the same as HUffPo, stop paying contributing authors as soon as possible.
French labor law and the French National Union of Journalists (SNJ) are not going to allow the basic HuffPo business model of stealing contributors article submissions to be executed as easily as in the US.

I definitely laughed out loud at the headline, what a perfect fit! Just as happy they stay in France and out of the USA.

But, I have to agree with he statement about whatever their relationship is being no one else’s business.

My guess is she will get a lot of money for this reach. This is a partnership with Arianna, AOL, & le Monde.

Anne Sinclair is one of the richest women France. She inherited the fortune and art works of her grandfather, who was one of the major art dealers in France, representing clients like Picasso & Matisse. The family fled France just before the Nazis came to power, and Anne was born in NY.

Anne Sinclair was also a major French TV star, with the most popular program in France 7/7, a weekly interview show. She was as popular as Oprah, Barbara Walters, & Diane Sawyer rolled into one.

This is really a step down down for her, but a way to get back in the public eye, and rehabilitate her image and that of her sex pervert husband.

She got around the enormous death tax in France by donating a few paintings, worth hundreds of millions of dollars to French museums
