Why does anyone listen to Erick Erickson? Governor Palin said IF she was in South Carlolina she’d vote for Gingrich - but the reason she would is so that this process of all these guys staying in and going forward. She wasn’t endorsing Gingrich - she was endorsing the fact that these men left in are sharpening their positions, which is to the VOTER’S benefit. She is in favor of the Primary Process continuing, she’s not picking someone to endorse. She made that abundantly clear to Hannity. Evidently is was too clear, and too far above the head of Erickson, who did nothing since last summer but pimp Perry.

Sarah goes rogue again. Redefining how to back a candidate.

Palin is a true friend of Perry.

I hope Perry listens to Palin and throws his support behind Newt.

On Fox News, Sarah Palin says if she lived in South Carolina she’d vote for Newt.

Palin is saying that our choices suck and that more time is needed to find out which candidate (if any) is best.

My take is Sarah wants the primary fight to continue instead of a coronation of Romney. If no candidate emerges with enough delegate votes, we will have an open convention, and who knows, Sarah could herself win the nomination.

Sarah Palin “casts her ballot for Newt Gingrich” with perfect timing to have the biggest impact.

SUPERB!!

A Gingrich-Santorum ticket would work well.

It would be great to have that deal made now, with Perry backing it.

Makes sense to me. If Perry and one of the other two conservatives pulled out, we would be spared a John McCain Replay at the Ballot Box.

Would have been happier if she was actually “IN” SC saying to “vote for Sarah Palin”!

Interesting, I didn’t know there were only 3 states in the union now. I thought there were 47 states still left to go in this PRIMARY election process. Now I can see I was so very wrong. My bad!

I noticed the article about Erick Erickson calling for Perry to bow out is locked and points here. I’m believe that thread is important in and of itself.

Erickson is the chief editor of Red State—he runs the site. He pretty much controls everything that goes on there.

Perry made his nomination announcement at the Red State convention.

Red State has been in the bag for Perry from the get go. At times it looked like the Perry campaign was feeding them stories.

Red State is probably the largest hub of Perry supporters on the internet.

Now, what has probably been Perry’s largest supporter has officially come out and said he should drop out of the race and endorse Newt.

This is important. It would be like NRO saying Romney should get out of the race and endorse someone else.

Why is it only this one particular political pundit is able to say who they will vote for???

What about all the other pundits??? Kraut-hammer, Rush, hannity, Beck, whiny little juan williams, brett bear, little chrissy mathews, olberman, and the rest??

I'm sure all of us are terribly interested in who these pundits will vote for! I'm also sure that we'll all immediately change our minds and vote along with our favorite pundit!

}sarcasm off.

she said she wanted to keep the contest going, and said she would vote for Gingrich. I did hear her and took that to mean it is too early to have the primary settled and a vote for Gingrich would keep Romney from winning it this early and keep the primary alive.

She actually said she’d vote for Newt if she were voting IN SOUTH CAROLINA — and only to keep the campaign rolling to other states. She didn’t endorse Newt.

If Rick Perry and Sarah Palin both throw their lot behind Newt Gingrich, well, the Republican nomination might actually turn into a race instead of a coronation.

I'll pray for that!
