Ohio Sen. Rob Portmanen, R-Terrace Park, had been close-mouthed about the fight for the GOP presidential nomination until last Thursday, when he appeared on CNBCs Squawk Box and said he would endorse Mitt Romney probably pretty soon. The second you are on TV and say, "I'm going to endorse..." anything after that is superfluous.
You can't un-ring the bell and change the sound.
Pretty soon was last Thursday on CNBC, it's over and done.

according to a recent poll of ohioans, 2 ohioans support gingrich for every 1 that supports romney. Interesting that portman would undermine the will of his constituency this way. I wonder what he was promised?

You folks out there in South Carolina would do us ALL a big favor. ANYONE but Mitt.

I’m profoundly dissapointed. However, I suspect he’s on the short list for Veep.

Natalie is a big-time lefty, so that means endorsing Romney isn’t much of a stretch.

He is establishment, as I recall you didn’t want him nominated for the Senate but said you could live with it.
Anyway Portman read AuH2ORepublican’s posts on the religion issue, realized he was Methodist and thus has made his play to be Romney’s VP. ;)
