We don’t know what the content of the letter is. My speculation: We are going to keep the Straight of Hormuz open no matter what you say you are going to do.

My questions are:
Was a specific time or date mentioned? The statement by the Foreign Ministry spokesman stating that they would reply if it was deemed necessary would allow for some specifics.

Was there a series of if>then statements? If this were a form of war warning, it should be examined closely and taken seriously.

Were we culturally communicating by sending the message via three channels? Islam has its protocols and giving/sending a message three times should make sure the message gets across in a format readily understandable to Muslims.

The pre December 7th communications between the United States and the Empire of Japan would be a template. Considering the amount of hardware in the area, the disintegrating situation in Syria, and the impasse regarding Iranian nuclear weapons between the US,Israel, and Iran, all this could be a joke or the last word.
