Rush Limbaugh broadcasts on Clear Channel. Clear Channel is owned by Mitt Romney
Examiner ^ | January 12, 2012 | Angel Clark

Posted on 01/15/2012 3:42:41 PM PST by mas cerveza por favor

Did you know that many of the talk radio hosts that you listen to on a regular basis use the same company to broadcast their shows? Clear Channel boasts names like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and even Coast to Coast AM!

Michael Savage is TRN, but is on a lot of Clear Channel stations.

Clear Channel is the largest owner of radio stations in the United State [...]

Did you know that Clear Channel is owned (in large part) by Bain Capital?

On Friday, November 17, 2006, Clear Channel announced that it was going private and selling off almost one-third of its radio assets... The buyers, led by Bain Capital Partners and Thomas H. Lee Partners, agreed to pay $26.7 billion for the company.

Bain Capital was founded by Mitt Romney. Mitt is retired now, but he still profits from Bain Capital according to the New York Times.

Clear Channel Communications is a privately owned company controlled by the private equity companies Bain Capital Partners LLC and Thomas H. Lee Partners LP. Clear Channel was sold for $18.7 billion in cash plus the assumption of $8 billion in debt. The transaction closed on July 24, 2008. The operating company which technically owns Clear Channel is called CC Media Holdings, Inc.

Think about that the next time you're flipping channels on the radio and realize that Rush Limbaugh calls the candidates "Romney", "Non-Romney", and "Loony"...

Why do these other candidates get called "Non-Romney"?

Do you think you'll be hearing about this story in most of the media sources you frequent?

Then it's up to you to get the word out. (Especially since by sharing tips like this I help cement that I won't ever become one of those big names in talk radio)

Your desperation is shown by the strawness of your argument.

The article you posted was written by a liberal political activist........I don't need to say any more jerk.

Let me guess, you found it over at DU didn't you? Get lost troll before you get the zot.

You cannot dispute the facts, so you compensate with more straw argument and threats.

Mitt and his Super Pak went after conservatives in Iowa with horrible lies about Newt and everyone said it was great, Newt should just lay there and take it like a pretty boy in State prison. Mitt said, why is he so mad, and laughed. They said politics ain’t bean bag and refused to stop the lies, millions and millions of dollars of lies to take down our best conservative fighter. But guess what? Newt isn’t just laying there taking it, he fought back and the jerks on this thread crying about it better get use to it cause Newt isn’t going anywhere and neither are we conservatives.

Rush isn’t in the bag for anybody. Not for Romney or anybody. The conspiracy theories here are weirder then those at DU or those other nut bags. You take one fact, or almost fact and draw conclusions based on this. Rush L only attack was on Newt and Perry for their Bain attack as anti-capitalist. And those who aren’t blinded for their love for their candidate would reject these type of leftist attacks. For record, disclosing I am now supporting Romney after Cain fizzled and Newt went left and nasty and Perry couldn’t complete a sentence in a debate.

Wrong, rush talked about who owns clear channel himself, it is a corporation, no law against you buying it if you wish. But since the capitol company is owned by many peoples retirement funds, you could say the working people of America own clear channel. And that would be the truth. Willard has no part in any of it. Actually the man that owns the New England football team owns part of it. Everyone grab their tin foil hats.

>>>>Rush did not buy up Clear Channel. Welcome yourself.

You obviously have a reading comprehension issue. The post you are replying to says nothing about buying... it says “b r o u g h t up” - as it talked about... This fundamental show of idiocy on your part enables the rest of us to dismiss anything you say now, and in the future as being totally absurd.

False.

Note the source ... "Examiner".

Examiner is a virus-laden disease infested haven for blog garbage.

Never will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

I wouldn't print a page of Examiner to wipe a dog's butt.

You cannot dispute the facts,

What are the facts about the author, Angel Clark, what are her credentials and what are her motivations?

So, you choose to post articles from democrat political activists, defend them and then challenge me to dispute them?

You're on the wrong site for that my friend..........

This article is a crock.

Yup. By the same logic (assuming it were true), anyone collecting a military pension is in Obama's back pocket.

You are exactly right - Rush clearly likes three candidates ahead of Mitt and before Bachmann and Cain dropped out he liked five candidates ahead of Mitt.

The idea that Bain or CC has editorial control over him is ridiculous. He is not “paid a salary” - his show, owned by him, splits revenue with CC and CC is damned glad to be in on it. Rush has all the leverage and all the editorial control.

Any notion to the contrary is simply made by people who do not understand the talk business and Rush’s unique role in that business.

It’s inexplicable for a conservative to support free market capitalism? First time I’ve heard that one.
