"That’s why it’s surprising to come on FR and find people getting so upset about Mormonism"

Norm, of all the mormons I've interacted with in real life and here on FR, I find it hard to believe you just wrote that.

You and the other mormon FReepers should know quite well why Christians get "upset about mormonism".

It's not like it hasn't been explained and shown to you all numerous times.

They have eyes but will not see. They have ears but will not listen. Trying to debate a Mormon vs Christianity is like trying to pick up mercury wearing rubber gloves.

Hi SZ,

I know there are differences between faiths. Doctrines and practices differ, but I don’t see the need to get angry if someone has a different faith to mine.

My guess is that if I sat down to dinner with any of the posters on this thread, we’d probably get along fine and find that we would have plenty in common. I think it would be a lot more pleasant than some of the communications about Mormonism that goes on here.

I, and many of my fellow latter-day saints try to follow the teachings and example of Jesus, as do so many Christians. There’s a lot we can all agree on and be in harmony with — which is more enjoyable and productive than focusing on what are perceived to be faults and errors.

Best to all,

Normandy
