If a kid is disturbed enough to scream uncontrolably, bash their head against a wall, and urinate on the floor, maybe they don't belong in a regular class room - no matter how warm and fuzzy the idea of the sane and insane learning together, side by side, makes one feel.
Parents will need these rooms if zero gets another 4 years.
This is merely another form of child abuse. What makes this worse other forms is that it is abuse under color of authority!

Giving cold, self interested union employees who are drenched in Marxist social ideology (they have no respect for human life, children, families and they promote and embrace diversity race hate) total power over their charges is one of the most insane and abusive things we ever have done in our society. I think the left has progressed into such hatred and evil they are driving kids insane.
These parents need to pull their children - enmass - out of the police state school and close it down. No votes needed; they have the power to replace it with vouchers and get rid of the whole sick institution. No kids - no Marxist pigs.
The left comes up with some abusive and bazaar forms of discipline. Either go back to the paddle, standing in the corner or call the parents to come and pick the child up.
Seems like the lefties want to lock them up, tape them up or call the cops on them. Freaks like these belong in jail themselves.
Public schooling as it exists today is a very unnatural treatment of children.
(It seems to have become worse in the past few decades - which might explain why so many adults read a story like this and think these kids just need a good spanking, like many of us did when we got a bit unruly from time to time.)
The children (particularly boys) who naturally resist the unnatural aspects of schooling are subjected to ever-harsher measures in order to break them - mind-altering drugs, head games and psychological manipulation, and now even solitary confinement.
If I were subjected to what these kids are put through, and powerless to escape, I’d probably be screaming and beating my head against the concrete walls and peeing my pants too.
Exclusion is lack of love. What most kids need is love
Schools are for teaching. If students are disruptive, send them home.
And stop teaching all that crap ideology. Stick to reading, writing and ‘rithmatic, and maybe a little, true, American history.
should be relatively easy to confirm or deny some of these claims. ask the children, especially those who were suposedly in the rooms, inspect the rooms themselves, check the ambulance logs...
that said, i know some kids who would need these rooms...

The government schools throw the headbangers into “scream rooms” because they aren’t allowed to bar them from the school outright. Next, they won’t even be allowed to remove them from classrooms.

The laws that require all children being mainstreamed is the reason there are scream rooms in schools and enormous classroom disruptions. Many of the stories seen on MSM are stories about kids who would never had been allowed in a regular school thirty years ago.
The reason police are often involved is because of the level of brokenness and out of control behaviors of some of these kids. These are the kids who have six to eight adults holding them down when they are admitted to mental hosptials. Because they are so dangerous/difficult/out of control.
Mentally ill and mentally handicapped kids deserve better. So do regular kids. The G&T kids and the Honors kids get out of dealing with this garbage in highschool.
Get the mainstreaming laws changed and bring back separate schools and residential facilities for these kids. Regular kids will have better educations and these kids will have the care they need.
Not enough info to go on. But... if the teachers have no option to enforce a child to listen during class without disrupting it, and are left with the “time out” room, then that is what they have to work with. I tend to agree with your assessment that “they don’t belong in the classroom” where they only hinder other children. Every paddling I received in public school I deserved (except a fight that I didn’t start), it reinforced the rules. When I cheated on a spelling test and got caught, I got my butt busted. I deserved it, it helped.
