WHO WOULDN'T ENJOY FIRING THESE PEOPLE?
Anncoulter.com ^ | 1/11/12 | Ann Coulter

Earlier this week, Mitt Romney got into trouble for saying, "I like being able to fire people who provide services to me." To comprehend why the political class reacted as if Romney had just praised Hitler, you must understand that his critics live in a world in which no one can ever be fired -- a world known as "the government."

Ann Coulter is actually right here. And so is Mitt Romney. A recession in the DC area would be a very good thing for the country.

Whether Obama Lite policies would actually achieve it, however, is an entirely different matter.

Ayup.

Why, why, why did Herman Cain have to get into such trouble? Perhaps he had to do layoffs at Godfather’s too (some managers got offers they couldn’t refuse?) but the result was a completely sound company which exists to this day. This sounds like heaven next to Bain.

Agreed. Of course, I agree that the FEDERAL government cannot use the Commerce Clause to mandate such things. But just because that PARTICULAR argument doesn’t apply to the states, does not mean such a mandate is good policy. (I can’t speak to whether it’s barred by that state’s constitution. I can confidently say that John Adams, who wrote it, probably would be horrified to see it applied in that way.)

Oh, and no taxpayer bailout for Godfather’s.

Herman Cain was too much of a soft touch for the ladies. IMHO. Losers attached themselves to him with fantasies he could never fulfill, but like a good hearted guy (if not the wisest in the world) he helped the losers out. I don’t think there ever was any illicit sex.

I truly wish Perry had done better too. He was my guy, then by installments he lost me. What finally tore it for me was the Bain bashing stuff. (Maybe the reason Perry is so seemingly aghast at closures/ layoffs is that they’re SO RARE IN TEXAS. But he still lost me.)

If Fonzie can achieve infamy for jumping the shark, then Mitt surely deserves infamy for hosing the dog. Bain is French for bath. Punsters have at it.

I read the WSJ article on Bain, as I am a subscriber. The WSJ did not portray it as devastating...it was a rather balanced mix....they did not say he was the greatest investor, but they did not portray him as a bumbler like Hussein either.

Ann Coulter makes some valid points about the potential horrors of ObamaCare.

Too bad she uses those points to defend Mitt Romney and RomneyCare. It saddened me to realize that the feisty Ann Coulter is a member-in-good-standing of the GOP establishment that wants Romney as 'our' candidate so he can 'have his turn', gracefully lose to Obama and, they mistakenly believe, keep the Washington Beltway power/money game running as usual. It saddens me but also angers me that a public figure that I once thought was a defender of conservative values is nothing more than an opportunist that thinks backing the Republican establishment candidate will somehow be a benefit to her.

Yes, I realize that Coulter may actually believe that Mitt Romney is the very best Republican alternative to Obama and that he can win the election, but even if that were true - and I doubt it is - her judgement has to be questioned, if not her integrity. I assume Ann Coulter's career as a writer, columnist and TV commentator will soon disintegrate as her pushing non-conservative candidates (Chris Christie, Mitt Romney) has become quite well-known (and resented) in conservative circles. Liberals already hate her guts so who is Ann Coulter's audience, now? Career suicide and a waste of talent on unworthy people such as Romney and a corrupt political entity, the Republican establishment. Too bad but her choice.

Someone shouuld fire the closet liberal Coulter from ever appearing on a conservative news show again.

She loves to go on The View. She loves to be around the other liberals on the show.

What saddens me are people who scream vitriolic invective at someone who disagrees which Republican is the best choice.

Who do you support, and why? Coulter’s choice, however unpopular, is bolstered by her reasoning—it may be faulty, but it is offered.

All I often see around here are screeds of anger against Romney and those who think he should be the nominee.

Jim Robinson, thank God, while unabashedly anti-Romney, has not banned Coulter’s columns or others from the board...at least it is stuff worth discussing.

So Jim, who should I, as an undecided voter in the Florida primary, vote for, and why? I already know who you think I should vote against.

Perry has an impressive record in Texas. On paper he is probably the most experienced and qualified candidate in the field. I supported him when he entered the race. I wish he had done better. His debate performances early on were awful, but he has improved somewhat. It is clear he is not the best communicator, but I still had hoped he might continue improving as a candidate and emerge. But now with this occupywallstreet shtick he’s got going with the “vulture capitalism”, well, Perry has completely lost me. Sorry, but the guy will be out of the race after South Carolina. He is not going to win over conservatives with this leftwing sounding nonsense. I assume he knows better but is just desperate, but it is really pathetic hearing Perry talk like this. Just really sad.

She may be for Mittens, but she is still ANN COULTER, and she is still righter than 9 out of 10 of them.

Hey, you are not going to get any argument from me. I still love Coulter. I don't throw people under the bus because I disagree with them on a few issues. I have most of Coulter's books and always look forward to hearing her on the radio and seeing her on TV.

Re your post #12, and you think that that beanpole with her unbelievably skinny legs and overly-longish face is pretty, huh? Well, to each his own, I guess.
