316 yards and John 3:16

Those pesky coincidences...

Kind of makes me think of quarterbacks like Billy Kilmer, Bobby Lane, Joe Capp and some others who were not great passers. They did nothing much but win. They were leaders who got the most out of their talent and than players around them.

Interesting.

Most of the folks quoted in this article are on the fringes of the sports media. Heck, anyone can write for Bleacher Report.

Most of the "top shelf" pundits are behind Tebow--Dilfer, Deon Sanders, Michael Irvin, Berman, Eisen, etc. Even Hoge seems to be coming around. It was also nice to see Stephen A. Smith eat crow, although he still doubts if TT can become a consistent performer.

To be honest, I don’t think all of the Tebow bashing is because he’s a Christian. I think a lot of the people are just sick of hearing about him (you can’t listen to ESPN for 10 minutes without hearing his name). AND, on some days, he’s awful, and looks like he has no idea how to throw the ball.

That being said, he can also be fantastic. He made some great throws in the Pittsburgh game, and quite frankly its fun to watch him. And it is nice watching a lot of loudmouth sportswriters chew on crow.

These people don't have a Tebow problem, since he has been a winner all his life, they have a Christianity problem. For some odd reason, Christians are now persecuted throughout the world, and this will only end badly for the Christian haters, once we decide to defend ourselves.

In the case of Mr. D.J. Gallo, “ESPN columnist”, hiding in his mom’s basement for a while won’t do him any good.

He needs to find a different line of work. He is a TERRIBLE writer.

Pro athletes who batter their significant others, commit rape, get arrested for DUI, or drugs, or firing handguns in public places, or father multiple children from multiple women, or murder someone, or raise fighting dogs and then cruelly kill the injured ones, or commit assault during games . . . .

And then there is Tim Tebow - the most controversial NFL player ever! Wow, there really are no journalist left in the world.

...and yet as the starting quarterback for the Broncos he did, defying all expectations, get them to the playoffs.

...and yet, as starting quarterback for the Broncos, he did, defying all expectations, throw for 316 yards, including the 80 yard game winner, and did beat the best defense in pro-football, the Pittburg Steelers in overtime.

Whatever else happens, Tebow has proven his worth to the Denver Broncos.

Tebow should have shut these jokers up with his performance against Pittsburgh. His positive, hard-working, and cheerful attitude have produced a body which is strong and athletic and a mind which inspires his teammates. You can teach passing, but you can’t turn a Matt Leinart into a hulk like Tebow.

This same squad of geniuses all said that Drew Brees (while he was with the Chargers) lacked the skill set to be an NFL quarterback.

While watching the game on Sunday, I actually turned to Mrs. kevkrom at one point and said, “you know, except for the designed running plays, this guy reminds me a lot of Ben Rothlesburger during his rookie season”. There are a lot of difference, for sure, but both of them just carried this supreme confidence and drive despite a lack of pro experience or perfected skills, and more importantly, both were capable of extending plays long enough to find open receivers.

Great guy?

Absolutely.

Great winning streak?

Absolutely.

NFL level quarterback skills?

I still can’t see them.

316 yards and John 3:16 Those pesky coincidences...

that was NOTHING next to Praeter's opening kick hitting the crossbar and landing EXACTLY on the 20 yard line...

...

all with some freaky smoke "halo" over the stadium...

Tebow is the face of the company’s “staycool” underwear collection. Jockey spokesman Mo Moorman said Tuesday that the line is the fastest-selling collection in the company’s 135-year-old history.
