Newt is a repentant sinner.
We are all sinners and in need of repentance.
Huntsman is hard to know about according to this article. How could someone be so slippery and evasive about such a thing.

Obama is NOT a Republican!
I meant Huntsman being slippery and evasive of course, he cannot even give a straight answer to the simplest inquiry about his religion.
I’m getting conflicting accounts about Huntsman then. If Huntsman personally vouches that he is an active Mormon and the church he claims to go to does not contradict it, then that ought to be taken at face value. It would be my bad.
But just because I don’t run around like you screaming, hanging labels of “cultISM” on people, doesn’t mean I can’t say quite accurately that there is a moral system in official LDS theology which has substantial overlap with traditional Judeo-Christianity’s moral system. This would not be any less true if green Martians were found to be leading the LDS. And Mitt is doing a p*ss-poor job at following the morals in that area of overlap.
lol
good one
I like that science fiction you wrote there.
Veggie Tales!
This discussion would be funny if it were not so narrow minded. I’m Catholic, but I’ve lived around Mormons all my life and have found them to be good friends and fine neighbors.
I’d be upset if you were casting these aspersions against Caholics, but I’m even more incensed that you are talking about anybody else’s religion this way. It demeans this website, IMHO.
Just use a Hairy Reed as a shield.
It still shocks me how people can post without thinking. If there is a debate, ya dolt, and mitt gets interrogated about religion, then so will obama. If obama runs ads about mitts religion, then mitt will retaliate with like kind.
It is this statement of yours:
moral system in official LDS theology which has substantial overlap with traditional Judeo-Christianitys moral system
Which prompted me to say, you need to earn about mormonISM is it not what it appears to be.
There was no fiction in it, only fact, is that why you didn’t point anything out?
afraidfortherepublic, how is it demeaning to post quotes from their actual leaders and teachings as well as parts of their history. The LDS cover up much of their history and teaching because they are embarrassing. However, they can’t really distance themselves from these teachings without denying these people were apostles and prophets.
Spirit vegetables. An actual quote from LDS apostle (and close confidant of Joseph Smith):
That vegetables as well as animals have spirits, is clearly shown from the fact that they have capacity for joy and rejoicing.... We are compelled to believe that every vegetable, whether small or great, has a living intelligent spirit capable of feeling, knowing, and rejoicing in its sphere....
This is the origin of spiritual vegetables in Heaven. These spiritual vegetables are sent from Heaven to the terrestrial worlds, where, like animals, they take natural tabernacles, which become food for the sustenance of the natural tabernacles of the animal creation. Thus the spirits of both vegetables and animals are the offspring of male and female parents which have been raised from the dead, or redeemed from a fallen condition....
Pratt, The Seer, March 1853, pages 34, 38; July 1853, pages 102-103; see also Doctrine and Covenants 77:1-4.
That is a curious detail but AFAIK it’s correct. If Mitt became president and went into a consecrated Mormon temple, then the SS that followed him would need to be consecrated Mormons themselves.
It’s a sad comment on LDS that they would let Mitt do this when he’s way looie left of the mark on morals that the LDS claims to embrace. Not as though other churches (”cult” or not) don’t have that kind of problem, such as liberal “pro-choice” Catholics and their enabling bishops.
So M what part is not real?
If Romney where to win the presidency in order for him to due his temple duties the SS would be prohibited from entering the temple unless they were also temple worthy.
So which part is not correct?
What ansel wrote is absolutely correct. Non-LDS or non- Temple Recommend holding LDS (the vast majority) are not allowed in LDS temples and thus LDS weddings.
So suppose it’s a scam run by green Martians? Am I still wrong to criticize them at the level of whether or not they are hypocrites on morality?
