An Open Letter to All Mormoms: Prepare Yourselves Emotionally and Mentally for What the Left is Going to Say About You Should Romney Be the Nominee Consider this an open letter to all Mormons out there who may come across it, warning you of what the political Left in this country is going to say about and do to you should Willard Mittens Romney become the Republican presidential nominee in 2012.
You need to start bracing yourselves for the sustained, vicious attacks that the Left is going to direct at you if the Cocktail Party GOP establishment and the agenda-driven media succeed in pushing Romney to the nomination so that he stands in the way of Barack Obamas re-election in November. From what I repeatedly see online and receive in email from people claiming to be Mormon, you are completely unprepared for the persecution thats coming. Many of you seem to see the world as it should be and not the way the Left actually operates with far too many Mormons thinking his religion shouldnt matter! or theres nothing wrong with Mormonism to make fun of or attack! or this will be a campaign about the issues and the Left wouldnt stoop to doing that!.
Whatever happens, you can never say that nobody tried to warn you while there was still time to prepare yourselves for the disaster thats coming.

I don’t believe it. They don’t want to talk about obama’s church so they won’t talk about mormons either.
Mitt’s the worst of both worlds.
Mitt is not a very good Mormon, if Mormon writings are to be taken at face value, especially in the moral matters in which the LDS officially agrees with traditional Judeo-Christianity.
But Mitt claims adherence to the church to the point of donning the magic underwear, which is a serious weird-out factor to traditional evangelicals (and to a lesser degree, Catholics).
Mitt as either an official non-Mormon (like Huntsman) or else a vigorous family values fighter (at least as good as Perry or Newt) would be a formidable bidder for the White House. As it is, a Mitt-Barack contest would be a contest for which would draw the most yawns from couch potatoes (except we know that Acorn is going to be busy again).

What, they're ignoring Mordads?
Or will mormonISM just be exposed.
Exposing of mormonISM will be sustained, that doesn't necessary make it untrue.
Attacks against mormonISM would be in the eye of the beholder, exposing is not an attack.
The Left?? Well of course. But our side is already all over him, except for the Elite. Time to get RINO Romney out of there. He will make me vote Third Party for the first time in a POTUS election, and I’ve been voting since Goldwarer
Cnn will be doing voice over of the nightly news with 15 year old girls marrying into bigamy on screen.....
I predict Romney will be asked on camera how much he supports such things.
A wicked wind this way blows.
IMHO, Mormonism is the reason the “progressive” commie libs want Mitt to get the nomination. It is their nuke for 2012. And it’s all going to be about racism. You can take that to the bank.
In order to be "temple worthy" the lds member has a list of rules they MUST follow to the letter, only 15% of mormons make it to the level of "temple worthy".
The left will most definitely do this, and some on the right will turn into Mormon salesmen, trying to convince Christians to accept Mormonism as not a cult, and the Mormon leadership will be using all of this to win new converts and to penetrate it’s Christian opposition.
Already people like Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved are pushing Mormonism acceptance onto their largely Christian audience.
A real mess is brewing if Bishop Romney takes the nomination, we don’t know what he will cost us and the division he will create between the social conservatives, and the social liberal divisions of the Republican Party.
Moral overlap between the systems exists (I did not claim they were identical), and Romney stinks in that area (as well as others).
Huntsman is an inactive Mormon.
I don’t see what you’re getting all hoity toity about.
The author is correct. If Mitt gets the nomination you are going to hear about ‘spirit vegetables’, Adam being God, Jesus being a polygamist; statements against the US - all from the writings of their own church leaders.
It is going to make the LDS threads in the RF look like a day at the beach.
Yup it’s going to happen. Look at the anti-lds virulence on this board from supposedly conservative friends and multiply it out by hundreds...that’s what the left is going to bring against Romney. And that’s in addition to his wall street connection.
Umm...how do they reconcile this with Harry Reid (a Morman) as Senate majority leader???
Spirit vegetables? Tomatoes and celery in heaven?
I question the definition of Newt when it comes to being qualified to claim a platform of vigorous family values. In order to qualify, I believe you need to practice what you preach. Being an adulterer, in my opinion, does not qualify as adhering to family values.
Seems the Roman church has at least accepted Newt as a repented sinner. He appears to be sincere, at least for the time being. Do not join Satan in continuing to accuse him of what he repented of.
hoity toity - hahahahahahah
You made a point and I was pointing out that you needed to learn about mormonISM as it is not what it appears to be.
You are the first person, including Huntsman that I have heard say he was inactive.
Oh, as a side note, in an interview May 20, 2011, Huntsman refereed to himself as a mormon in good standing.
If he has become inactive, it has happened since then, and he would lose his “celestial” standing.
You have it backwards, Bishop Mitt Romney is actually an especially devout and devoted Mormon, he is of a category which only about 15% of Mormons attain.
Romney is such an accomplished Mormon that for him to fully practice his faith, special Secret Service agents of his level of Mormonism would have to be assigned to him at times, both during his presidency and afterwards. About 85% of Mormons are forbidden to be in Romney’s and the other elite’s presence during many events, such as Romney’s wedding, when his converted wife’s parents were forbidden along with the vast majority of practicing Mormons.
