LA Arson Suspect Identified, Possibly Motivated by Deportation Battle
By RICHARD ESPOSITO, RAY HOMER, KATIE KINDELAN and COLLEEN CURRY
Good Morning America 15 hrs ago
Officials this evening identified a man arrested after a series of 52 blazes in the Los Angeles area as Harry Burkhart, 24.
Burkhart was charged this afternoon with one count of arson of an inhabited dwelling, with more charges expected as the investigation proceeds, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa told reporters. Burkhart was being held without bail.
"These were serious and potentially deadly crimes that needlessly endangered thousands of innocent lives," Villaraigosa said. "These crimes will not be tolerated."
According to ABC News sources directly involved in the case, the "prime suspect" under arrest told authorities upon his detention, "I hate America."

Too bad he did not bid America goodbye while he could.
So what’s his immigration status? He’s a German national irritated by his mother’s deportation hearing...is he an ILLEGAL?

If the boy hates America, I suggest we send him on his merry way as soon as he’s released from prison.
Hey, protesting works for other foreign nationals in the US.
Authorities say fire starting materials were found in the minivan which police processed as evidence.
I feel very good that weve got the right guy, Los Angeles police Chief Charlie Beck said.(The suspect) had the right stuff in his van, and we are very confident we found our man.

Well then he can just go back to Germany with his momm
Wonder if he's...umm...Brokeback or something?
Cheers!

If you hate America Harry you are really going to be disappointed in prison.
It wouldn’t suprise me since he not only looks like Perez Hitlon, but he also set the fires in West Hollywood which is a hive for queers.
If he were an illegal from Mexico or Central American — hey! No problem!! Stay as long as you like! Want to drive? Great! Go right ahead - you don’t need to carry insurance, have a license or be legal to drive on California’s roads. No worry — Beck and Villar (real name) will make sure your car is not towed.
“These were serious and potentially deadly crimes that needlessly endangered thousands of innocent lives,” Villaraigosa said. “These crimes will not be tolerated.”
Not like unlicensed drivers allowed to drive on LA’s roads, right Villar? You made SURE that illegals without insurance and licenses are allowed to drive and not have their cars towed even though unlicensed drivers cause 20% of all fatal accidents in California.
These crimes WILL BE TOLERATED!!
Hypocrite!!
I live on the other side of town. The smoke drifted over my way and backed up against the mountains where I live. Smelled like a giant chemical fire, horrible!
Wish he’d tried to set a few fires down my block — he would have received a face full of lead.
*bump*
The pic looks like the numa numa guy ...

Ron Paul and his supporters blame US immigration policy and say those targeted by the arsonist , brought it on themselves.
I see that Tony Villar managed to drag himself out of the bed of his reporter-whore in order to play act at being Mayor for a few hours.
According to the LA Times, he was a German national, had Chechen travel papers, and his mother is “Russian.” His mother is in the process of being deported. There’s a lot of possibilities here.
No wonder he was pissed off.
I have to wonder why he didn't commit arson closer to home, like Liberal Seattle.
“had Chechen travel papers”
Hmmmm, a Muzzie perchance?
