Miami - NBA superstar LeBron James is engaged to marry long-time girlfriend Savannah Brinson, who accepted his proposal at a lavish New Year's Eve dinner party in Miami.
Brinson was the high school sweetheart of the Miami Heat playmaker and is the mother of James' two sons, seven-year-old LeBron Jnr and four-year-old Bryce.
No wedding date was immediately set.
The party was hosted by Dwyane Wade, James's Heat team-mate. The bash was also a birthday party for James, who turned 27 on Friday.
As the clock struck midnight, Wade made a key off-court pass to James, handing over the engagement ring he had been holding until that moment.

I don't follow sports figures per se', but I thought, after reading the snip ..
At least 7 years are shared with two people that must have certainly mentioned at least, the word 'marriage' and now it is a 'deal' ?

If you were a celebrity with millions in assets, you too would want to be very sure before handing a ring (and potentially more than half your assets) to any woman.
If you are a woman you want to be really sure before getting legally tied to someone who might try to control and dictate your every move
If he’s had two kids with her, his assets are already more than half hers.

In today's legal environment, the key word in the above sentence is "try". Any attempt to coerce the woman into doing other that what she damn well pleases is defined as emotional abuse, and you will have police at your door telling you to leave your own home.
If you have to “coerce” your loved one, how loving is that
