..killing six of his relatives before shooting himself in Dallas, Texas, on Christmas morning has been alleged to be an Islamic honor killing.

What an insane “religion.”
The authorities are simply following procedure or policy; they are not supposed to comment on on going investigations.
Is it bigotry to note a trend and point it out?
The author has bothered to seek out people who knew the victims and quotes them suggesting that the alleged murderer was the typical fundamentalist Muslim father that kills his non-compliant relatives to save face and then comes up with this bigotry crud.
Seems the author is a bit of a two faced on the political correctness.
Also, I live near Dallas a year or so ago we had a Taxi driver (muslim) who killed his two daughters because they were dating outside the ‘faith’.
Nothing alleged about it. Honor Killing.
“Or is it religious bigotry that leads to allegations of this nature?”
Or is it extreme, suicidal, Political Correctness stupidity that leads one to deny the obvious?

How soon will these “honor killings” be defended as a Constitutionally-protected exercise of religious expression.....and have some puke-activist judge dismiss the case?
Four years ago today, actually.
The Said sisters, whose father shot them in the backseat of his car, then fled to Egypt, his homeland. Didn’t bother to stick around and try to justify his actions as some do.
Why did this reporter even add this comment at the end of the article? That is what these two sentences are; commentary.
Why did the author feel it necessary to highlight the quotes of the people she interviewed as racist rants.
The author should have left well enough alone and let the article stand on the facts. If the author wants to do commentary the author should right a separate editorial article and submit it to his/her editor for acceptance as such.
News reporting and editorial should remain separate to avoid clouding the issues surrounding events with the authors personal biases.
At least it’s not another case of “Workplace Violence” for Obama and Big Sis to explain away.

And yet, they enjoy First Amendment protection.
What and insane country we have.
“Why did this reporter even add this comment at the end of the article? That is what these two sentences are; commentary.”
A while back a survey was done of journalism students asking them why they wanted to become journalists. The majority said that they wanted to make the world better.
Not report the facts, but change the world.
That’s why facts and truth in journalism are dead.
Not according to the agenda-driven American MSM. Most national media reports did not even include the names of the killer and victims, let alone their religion.
Our media is absolutely disgusting. From the initial reports in the national media there was no hint that this was a typical muslim honor killing. I'm sure that 99% of the people who read this story just as it broke have heard nothing since and have no idea that this was just another muslim lunatic story.
I think the suspect shooting everyone while dressed up as Santa, is rather glaring in this particular event, given the circumstance and players.
Mohammedanism is a cult of hate, founded by a camel-humping pedophile. There is nothing peaceful in any group that promotes murder and slavery as its central belief. This is Satan at work.
What “honor” is there in slaughtering your children and then cowardly taking your own life? Please Lord, let there be a special circle of Hell for those who murder children, along with abortionists and their enablers and pedophiles who prey on children.
“She (Nona) would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy. He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,”
That’s not crazy at all, in fact I would consider it good parenting.
