Or is it extreme, suicidal, Political Correctness stupidity that leads one to deny the obvious?

Given that the authorities remain silent, is it fair to allege religious motives behind the act only because the killer and his victims were Muslims? Or is it religious bigotry that leads to allegations of this nature?

Why did this reporter even add this comment at the end of the article? That is what these two sentences are; commentary.

Why did the author feel it necessary to highlight the quotes of the people she interviewed as racist rants.

The author should have left well enough alone and let the article stand on the facts. If the author wants to do commentary the author should right a separate editorial article and submit it to his/her editor for acceptance as such.

News reporting and editorial should remain separate to avoid clouding the issues surrounding events with the author’s personal biases.
