There was a missle attack this morning. We got a second hand report from a friend in Bagram AFB that a missile had landed in their barracks but did not go off.
What a great Commie-in-Chief we have.

And now we have a string of attacks from the Islamofascists George W. Bush had done so much to destroy.

Yep, just propaganda. If it were a “missile attack”, the Taliban would be miles away and have practically no way of knowing what, if any, damage was done. More likely they lobbed a few mortars in the general direction of the base and claimed a huge victory, just before the artillery dropped a few round on their heads.

So what should we do? My belief is get the heck out and start doing something to benefit the USA people, instead of the ME.
The British and Soviets learned about the endless war and outcome in this region. It’s time to rebuild the USA not Afghanistan, Iraq or Iran.

This concept of Afghanistan fighting us isn’t that difficult to figure out. If China invaded and occupied the USA would you be sitting around with welcome wagon gifts? Some might, but I’ll guarantee I’d use my last .223 to send them home. That’s the way people think on every corner of the world. Send the occupiers and invaders home.
We have our own problems at home with debt and deficits and we don’t need more problems fighting perpetual wars.
I have read that American troops have died in Afghanistan because the rules of engagement do not allow calling in artillery or air support if there is any chance of collateral damage. And sometimes support is denied even if there is no chance of collateral damage. As a vet I can not tell you how angry I get when I read of our troops having to fight house to house instead of calling in 105s or 155s to take out the whole damn block. I am curious why after 10 years we are still fighting goat headers in the mountain passes of Afghanistan. Bin Lauden is dead and the Taliban is neutered. So please tell me why we are still spending blood and treasure there. Thanks.
