A proposal that would require adult film actors to use condoms has qualified for the June ballot after proponents gathered enough signatures to put the issue before Los Angeles voters.

Proponents gathered more than 70,000 signatures, exceeding the 41,000 required to place the issue on the ballot, according to AIDS Heathcare Foundation spokesman Ged Kenslea. The signatures were certified last week by the LA City Clerk.

The part of the article that caught my eye was that city inspectors would be there to check compliance. How does one get that job, and what would be the pay (money or pleasure)?

How much do you have to pay to get that job..and to whom?

Well, that’s ONE way to get the porn industry out of San Fernando!

This gives new meaning to the director’s call, “That’s a wrap!”

Both are the same questions, with the same answers. Sell your soul, risk nasty germs that can kill you or stay for life; allow yourself to become calloused such that women are only an object, not a person. Really kind of easy, but not really good.

Is this a cover-up, or just a bunch of scumbags who have been ridin’ dirty?

"Really kind of easy"

Oh, and you have to do gay porno for years in order to earn the opportunity to be with the ladies.

And who says California isn't creating new jobs? Adult film condom compliance inspector sounds like a lucrative, up and coming field to get in on the ground level at.

On a related note, what is the state of the industry these days? Seems those heady days of the 70s-80s when a few powerful interests controlled the multi-billion dollar adult film industry are long over. These days it appears that anyone with a video camera, internet access and a little ambition can be a porn filmmaker. And the "talent" seems more likely these days to call home to Dnipropetrovsk than the San Fernando Valley.

Sooner or later you would think enough sex acts had been filmed that the need for more would be limited. But, apparently not.

One of the last great bastions of California industry soon to be chased off too! Governor Moon Beam should just slap a tax on raw sex.

Not only would city inspectors be needed, I bet a whole new state bureaucracy would have to be created to oversee the work of the city inspectors and shuffle the paperwork.

The porn industry will soon be following the others out of California.

You can bet these evil fools are looking to put “inspectors” in the schools and in your bedroom or hotel room. The Stazi never died out.

One could literally spend 24/7/365 surfing porn on the internet and not run out of content to look at.

The funny thing is that one would not have to spend a dime to do this? Which begs the question, how can there possibly be any money in this industry anymore? Who could possibly be making it?

Facepalm.

All this will do is move the adult film industry out of the San Fernando Valley, and they’ll just go to another state where the weather is nice (for outdoor filming).

Hello, Phoneix!

Most such films are made in Santa Clarita (Newhall) so this will have little to no effect past improving the economy of Santa Clarita.

A proposal that would require adult film actors to use condoms

Leading to confusing and ultimately pointless condom scenes in lesbian porn.
