I’m sure DUmmies’ heads are exploding over this news. Of course, their heads exploded over him being a “D” Senator anyway. Go figure, he voted for CommieCare but they hate him anyway.

Bob Kerrey, MOH recipient, got beaten by a draft-dodger for the Dem primary contest in the ‘92 race.

He grew up in the miliary? When it came to serving, what did he do?

I can’t remember. I suppose it could be looked up. I’m thinking he might have served for a while too but I’m not sure. When he was running it seemed like he was the standard liberal democrat except that he wasn’t Code Pink, which made him a lot more palatable to Nebraskans.

If their Bob Kerrey pipe dream doesn’t pan out they would be left with

That Kleeb jerk.

Any number of random State Senators.

The Mayor of Lincoln

Maybe Kate Witek that former Republican State Auditor that switched to the democrats and lost as one, in 2006.

It’s in the same category as North Dakota if that liberal douche Kerrey doesn’t run. If he does I think we’re no worse off than if Nelson had run. In some ways he’d be stronger than Nelson but he’s also more liberal and he’s been out of play for a while. He’d have to re-establish residency wouldn’t he? Maybe he should run for office in NY like Harold Ford. ;d

Heineman obviously didn’t want a hard race against an incumbent.

Maybe he’ll change his mind now.

You know who else tried the old comeback after recently retiring (well Kerrey didn’t recently retire but the comparison to “The Laut” holds. Kerrey would be like Dan Coats)?

That troll-faced bastard Ken “that last Dixiecrat” Lucas in Kentucky’s 4th district.

He called it quits in 2004 and the rats ran liberal Nick Clooney. I still remember that race cause this one idiot on here insisted that Clooney would win a walk because people liked his sister and he used to be on tv in the area. He lost of course to Geoff Davis.

In 06 Lucas decided to run again for some reason and it ended up not being that close even in that awful year. Now he runs the State VA in the corrupt administration of Governor Batsheet.

Need I remind you of the main reason why Geoff Davis won in 2004 after having lost in 2000 and 2002?

I remember master Yoda.

Now that he's retiring he can grow it back.

I guess I'd have to head to North Dakota if I ever want to run for Congress. Not that I haven't made 5 or 6 posts just today that would doom my candidacy. ;)
