I hope the B@#T@RD has trouble sleeping for the rest of his natural life, and is seated in the smoking section for his eternal one.

Why do I have the same feeling?

OK, so that makes our pickup of the Nebraska Senate seat official.

Whoever wins the GOP nomination will win the Nebraska seat and form part of the emerging GOP Senate majority. There’s no need to “settle” here.

That depends on who the Republicans nominate; lets hope it is a quality candidate

This is a surprise; who do the Democrats have to hold this seat? It has been Democrat for some time, hasn’t it? NE once had two good senators, Carl T. Curtis and Roman Hruska. Most of the others since have been disappointments.

Confidence is one thing, cockiness is another. I would insert the word "probably" somewhere in that sentence.

No can someone please educate us on which Republicans are looking to participate in this primary race and their strengths and weaknesses.

After years of being cornholed by nelson, the cornhuskers have finally turned the tables.

Heineman may see this as an opening to get in. I’m more than a bit disappointed at his endorsement of Slick Willard.

OBAMACARE is a convoluted mess – it needs massive simplification and speed-up of phase-in of important measures. Need a Single-payer alternative of Medicare18-64. Example: with one nationwide uniform rate for standard class and free yearly exams with discounts for healthy life styles up to 60% – if not obese, no drugs, nort alcoholic or STDs with this plan covering first $250,000/year per person and private insurers can come into market above that without ability for rate-ups and no exclusions for preexisting conditions! Keep it safe, simple, sane and secure!

What Max Baucus did to those doctors and nurses – having them arrested – is a natioal disgrace and he and Ben Nelson as Democrtic Committee Chairmen are both aged DINOs and corporate suck-ups.

As if an R by their name means anything.

But, in any case, the squishy Republican Party leaders in NE, in spite of a large registration edge, have a history of handing US Senate seats to the Democrats.

I was hoping he would hang in there so the Dems would spend a ton of cash in a losing battle. Bye-bye
